Review Summary: best album ever made8 of 11 thought this review was well written
Ah, Deicide. The idea that this band is satanic may seem rather silly to most, but they are fools. Peons will not be able to comprehend this monstrous mayhem, made up of riffs, satan and pure METAL. As soon as you see the song names you know this albums going to rule. The opening track Lunatic of Gods Creation starts with a weird metal sound then you are kicked in the face by a tech riff and double bass blast beat *** fest. The verse riff may be the best riff ever made, its evil as *** yet your mum would groove to it. The next song Sacrificial Suicide goes even ***ing harder than the last one. In the intro you hear distant trems getting closer and closer until you are kicked in the dick by yet more double bass madness. Seriously this song rules, another hard riff fist. Do the riffs ever stop you may ask? Well if you ask this youre a fag. Next up is the best song on the album simply called DEAD BY DAWN. The song starts with crazy blast beats then for pretty much the whole song its just constant double bass, damn Steve is insane. Obviously the song is about the classic movie Evil Dead, so it automatically rules. The best part of the song is where he shouts DEAD BY DAWN over and over damn i ***ing love this *** so much. The solo is ***ed. The layered vocals are beyond ***ing crazy, the lows sound like satan himself singing and his minions shouting along with him. The production on this album is cool, i mean its not brilliant but who cares? Satan sure as hell doesnt so why should i? The rest of the album pretty much follows the same formula of riff, tech riff, slow but still tech riff and ruling diltch. The musicianship is great ***, as i said before the guitars mostly trem and dont hold back. The bass as usual is inaudible. The drums are flat out amazing, even the Wintersun dude cant blast this hard. The lyrics are beautiful, as Glenn has stated many times, satan has won, its over. Mikael Akerfeldt also recently confirmed this.
Basically get this album. Its not even a question of whether youre christian or satanic or whatever gay ***, this is pure music with true passion, no pointless atmospheric bridges, no clean dweedle pop sections, no lyrics about feelings. Just pure straight down the line, cut the crap DEATH METAL, and that all anyone ***ing wants.
