Review Summary: Adaliah releases a cd with alot of potential, but also has a few rookie mistakes.

Adaliah is a metalcore band from Flordia, that dosnt have quite the following as some of the other bands out there, but they make there pressence known with this ep. One could say they sound simular to other bands, but they still have a special vibe that seperates them from alot of other bands trying to cash in on this genere of music. They have breakdowns, excellent screaming (with 2 vocalists that due stand out), and the guitars are good, but it just feels done before. This is not a bad thing, because they do it well, but if they really wanted to stand out, they should have done something a little different. It does also have good production for a first ep. The song reviews are as follows:

1. Illusions (1:31)
This is the opening for the cd, and it isn't anything special. The opening song sounds like a Didgeridoo, but im not sure if it actually is or not. Anyways, this song is useless. Some people might find that it "adds to the atmosphere to the ep" or something, but personally, I never listen to this song because its boring and not needed( especially in a some-what short ep) (1/5)

2. Allure (2:40)
This my one of my favorite song off of the cd. Some people might not totally like this song just because its not very technical, but it is really fun to listen to. Vocals sounds awesome, and the drumming is great as well. This song also has my favorite breakdown of the entire cd, and it plows my eardrums every time I listen to it. In short, this song is awesome to listen to if you wana mosh like a boss. (4/5)

3. My Frozen Bones (3:37)
The opening of this song gets me every time. The guitar riff at the beginning is awesome, and it carries throughout the entire song. This song goes by fast everytime I listen to it, but I feel its because it is just fun to listen to. The guitar is really catchy, and makes the song stand out as one of the better songs on the cd. Also, the breakdown in the last 30 seconds of the song is good, but sounds like its been done before. (4/5)

4. No More Heros (3:23)
This is another song that isn't very technical, but it just sounds good. It has all the makings for a good song, but I find it boring at times. The last half of the song stands out, but the song really is just a big breakdown with little catchy parts thrown into it. Also, the last 15 seconds of singing is really epic, and they hits some dope sounding lows that I kinda wish wre used more. (3/5)

5. Dependence (3:01)
This is my personal favorite song on the cd. The guitars are very good, and the song flows throughout the entirety of it. The lyrics are meaningful, and the breakdown is great. This song stands out because there isn't as much "chugga chugga" and this makes it sound alot better in my opinion. The song does, however, sound really simular to other songs in this genere, but its still entertaining to listen to. If you wanted to show someone who Adaliah is, this is the go-to song to show them. (5/5)

6. Those Who Challenge the Sun (3:23)
This song is great. Its catchy, and works well as a song to listen to while doing pretty much anything. It has parts to mosh to, while also haveing moments of "coolness" where you can just chill and listen to it. This song fits the same format as the previous songs though, with a catchy guitar riff, and then a breakdown, but the formula works really well. This might no be a bad thing, but if you told someone that For the Fallen Dreams made a new single and showed them this song, they might actually believe it's them because of the simularity. (4/5)

7. Rituals (3:02)
This song is just straight up moshin' music. The entire song is basically a breakdown, but a good one at that. I know some people wont like an entire song focused on a breakdown, but it works for this song. Its nothing special, but its fun to listen to. I wouldn't have made this my title song, but it's a good song tht flows with the cd. This also being the final song of the cd, brings the cd to close with a bang. (3/5)

In all, this band is a band that I can't wait to see grow. They are young, but they show awesome potential with this cd, and I can see a good future for them if they keep it up. Hopefully though, they can make a bigger impact with there next cd, because these guys are relatively unknown. However, if you not a fan of metalcore, breakdowns, or "brocore", then stay away from this ep. I would love ot see these guys headline a tour, but we can only wait to see what the future holds.

Decent review. Track-by-tracks are frowned upon here, but you can improve. Keep submitting reviews, please.

I saw them earlier this year before they got signed. They're a solid bunch.

Too many spelling/grammar/syntax errors makes the review almost painful to read. Not saying this is, but IMHO you should edit it/future reviews because they'll come off far more mature and improve your ethos.

alright a few things...

1). There are TWO vocalists Jorge Sotomayor AND Tyler Andre

2). The ending part of No More Heroes is NEITHER Jorge or Tyler, it's a friend of theirs named Jared Cason doing guest vocals

3). If you read the lyrics to all the songs they ALL have an important meaning behind them.

4). None of the songs are honestly technical but they are all catchy, heavy, and have great meaning behind them.

Pretty Solid EP. My frozen bones has such a beautiful intro. One con about Adaliah is that I feel like they can sometimes over use breakdowns, but the melodic parts make up for it. I'll give it a 3.5
