Summary: Amazing Debut From The Post-Hardcore Legends

0 of 4 thought this review was well written

"Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence" is the debut record from American post-hardcore band Glassjaw and is one of the most raw, angry albums i have heard. One of the reasons for this is Daryl Palumbo who's voice ranges from violent psychotic to calm schizophrenic in the blink of an eye. his voice fits perfectly in with the rest of the band.Songs like "Lovebites and Razorlines" demonstrate angry, angst ridden lyrics like:

"Who you f****** now? I use my slit wrist
to sign my name with blood
and when you can't compete with the Joneses
gun 'em all down(even the father).
You f****** whore."

Daryl's brutal screaming take centre stage for most of the album including "Siberian Kiss" which in my opinion has his most violent vocal performance of the record, plus Sammy Siegler's drum performances are absolutely amazing and Justin Beck and Todd Weinstock's guitar riffs and really cool and Manuel Carrero's bass performance is admirable too.

There is no real genre to define this album as Ry Ry's Song takes a punk feel and some other tracks provide a happily taken genre change from the brutal vocal and musical onslaught that spans most of the album, but there can be too much of a good thing,as heard in "Babe" which in my opinion is the weakest song on the album.

Recommended Tracks:
Pretty Lush
Ry Ry's Song
Siberian Kiss
Her Middle Name Was Boom

Pro's:
Amazing Drumming
Brilliant Vocals
Good Guitar Work

Con's:
"Babe"

This review suffers from spelling mistakes (schitzophrenic), misuse of capitalization (Raw, Angry), completely vague descriptions (guitar riffs are really cool) and lots more besides!

A Good Read

And the word brutal doesn't accurately describe the album.
Who the fuck gave this a pos?

"Amazing Debut From The Post-Hardcore Legends"

Legends? You might want to change that statement.

Also, please stop writing until you learn how to properly form ideas into words and properly form opinions. All it's doing is wasting space on the front page. It's obvious you're not taking any of the advice given to you on your previous reviews, so just stop.

Like now. You're writing sucks. Fix it. Dumbass

Serious critique, you need to form paragraphs, not just sentences. Go more in depth about the songs and don't get so caught up with trying to put a label such as post-hardcore or punk.
