In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 is the 3rd installment of the Coheed and Cambria saga. They bursted out on the scene with "A Favor House Atlantic." Then, they furthered their fame with "Blood Red Summer." If you love those two songs, you'll come to find that the rest of the album is much, much better. Just a reminder this review may be a tad biased.

1. The Ring In Return:
This is an intro track that begins with a "ringing phone in time." Footsteps come in later, then the phone is answered "Hello" and we are brought into a beautiful piece of music that is familiar to all Coheed and Cambria fans. As the music ends, we are brought to the sound of a ship landing, and led to the next track with "Hello Apollo, where should I begin." 4.5/5
2. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
The amazing title track of this album. Starts with a soft intro, then gets brought into heavy, heartpounding, verse. This song has an amazing chorus, "Man your own jackhammers/Man your battle station/We'll have you dead pretty soon." At about 6 1/2 minutes there's a silence, then we get brought back to the intro, straight into the original Coheed "Whoa oh oh" This is an absolutely amazing, epic track, a pure standout on the album. 5/5
3. Cuts Marked in the March of Men
This next song is not as epic as the last, or as superier, but has a great riff in the verse, and has a great chorus, "This comlink's lost it's frequency and I feel that we're coming home short/Here take me instead/I'd rather not see her off alone." After the second chorus we get a breakdown, "Deliver/A favor, to my love" Doesn't hold up to IKSSE: 3 but it's still a very good song. 4/5
4. Three Evils (Embodied In Love and Shadow)
One of the more poppy songs on the album but very good. The verses are very fun and upbeat, "Slowly discarded were the remains of his lonely youth." But the verses won't prepare you for the amazing ending of this song, "Dear my friends/In the time we've spent/Forever after beyond this when will our nightmare ever end/Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops." The ending fades out and we have a piano interlude, we hear crumpling sounds of paper, and a scream leading to the next track. 4.5/5
5. The Crowing
This song is probably the best on the album. So epic, and so entertaining. It will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It has amazing lyrics, "Pray you're not the only one." Which leads into the chorus riff with different lyrics, "Would they be the words that I would say/Your face and a door betwwen/I've parted three ways/For you the Newo that I love." Then we get led to another amazing, build up ending, "Dear Ambellina, the Prise wishes you, to watch over me/I fought the decisions that called and lost, my mark has the revelant piece in this, I will come reformed/In short for the murders of those I court, I bless the hour that holds your fall, sincerely, I will kill you all." Absoulutely 100% perfect. 5/5
6. Blood Red Summer
Another poppy song. Chorus has pretty cool riff in it while Claudio is singing, "When the answer that you want is in the question that you state/Come what may, come what may" There's not much to say about this song, it gets a little repetitive after a while. 3/5
7. The Velourium Camper I: Faint of Hearts
This song doesn't get as much credit as it should. It has great guitar work by Claudio and Travis. And has great lyrics throughout the whole song, "The sin that shapes your voice carries my ears this new disease/Did somebody take your tounge/In worries of the words that you couldn't say if they could've saved them from." The whole thing sounds like a love song when you hear, "Tonight, sleep tight my love." But at the end of the song we hear a switch in the lyrics, "Tonight, sleep tight, my gun" One of my favorites on the album. 4.5/5
8. The Velourium Camper II: Backend of Forever
The intro and verses to this song are very dark. Has a great opening line, "Rocked silent in a soft lullaby/Panic stirred me awaken, by a ringing phone in time." The chorus is pretty boring, and the best part of the song is the ending, "This isn't love, there on the backend of forever, I wish I would never/I wish I would never hurt again." Overall it's one of the downfalls. We get led into the next song with another piano interlude. 3.5/5
9. The Velourium Camper III: Al the Killer
Another very dark song. Claudio uses a vocal effect throughout the verses of the song. The standout parts are the chorus, the lyrics are dark but the feel of it is so uplifting and fun, "Bye bye world, bye bye world/Die white girls, die white girls." This is my 3rd favorite track. 5/5
10. A Favor House Atlantic
Worst song on the album. Vocals seem a little too high. I love the lyrics though, "Bye bye beautiful/Don't bother to write/Disturbed by your words and they're calling all cars." But as I said before it's the worst song and gets very repetetive at the end. We get led to the finale with a piano interlude. 2.5/5
11. The Light & the Glass
Starts off with a beautiful acoustic piece. Then Claudio opens with, "Slowly the pen touches paper/In the guidance of the words that you write." The electric guitar picks up at about 2 minutes. More great lyrics are found here, "Ignoring the words of your obnoxious little brother/Kill or be killed spilled the words from your mother." Later the guitar and vocals pick up and then get darker, "I've been cautious with the words I extend/Allow this year before the world starts to end." Then that goes into the most epic ending of a Coheed song ever "Your father's dead he passed in his sleep/And I woke to the sounds of her crying/Pray for us all......My dearest Apollo, I'll be burning Star 4." The whole ending is backed up with amazing guitar work. After that we find that "oh so" familiar piano interlude. 5/5
23. 2113
After 11 tracks of silence we get led into the epic song that serves as a transition to the next album. With phasered guitar Claudio sings, "In our sleep, there's more to this nightmare, will she beg for your mercy." After 2 verses and choruses it goes into a bright section of the song, "When I fall asleep/Your face is all I dream/Dear momma I love." After that is a little piece of instrumental, that leads into acoustic, "I've got a secret, to hide." Then we go into the amazing intro to Time Consumer, "In the words, from father to son, Thy Kingdom Come." We are then led into a raging scream with fast upbeat guitar that goes back to the chorus. Later the electric guitar fades and we are led to the IRO-Bot section, "In those days we lost our dignity/The eager dare to stand/The ride home through victory/On the innocent they tread/But IRO-Bot will never die." This should be the definition of a nine-minute epic. 5/5
