CKY is

Derron Miller- Guitar, vacals
Chad Ginsburg- Lead guitar
Jess Margera- Drums
Derron and Chad- Bass lines but Vern later joined the band.

CKY is very confusing to some people, for a couple of reasons. One being the movies and the other being their style of music. CKY is a group of friends who decided to make movies that show case there sense of humor and there stupid ness. The band members are all in these movies and made music for these movies, and that's how this band started. For there style of music don't even bother to try to classify them. Just classify them some good old "Rock" music because they mix metal, punk, stoner rock, and even some rock and roll. On to the review

1. 96 Quite Bitter Beings- This is probably there most mainstreem song. It's the infamous Jackass Shopping cart song. The main riff is very top notch, and rite off the bat you realize what a weird guitar setting. Their guitar setup is very original and it makes the song very good. Deron's vocals are also very good in this song. My only main problem is it's very repetitive. 4.5/5

2. Rio Bravo- Very strong hard guitar riff followed by some angry sounding vocals. One thing you will notice is the really good drum beat. Very AC/DC sounding. The vocals is pretty scary, Deron is a horror movie fanatic and a lot of his songs reflect that. This song is about a man killing his wife at a Rio Bravo truck stop. All in all very good song. 4/5

3. Disengage the Simulator- This is probably one of my all time favorite CKY songs. It's so mellow and relaxing. The guitar riff is very well written and the song just flows. The lyrics are very interesting. It's the thoughts of a man driving off a cliff. Very good song 5/5

4. Human Drive in Hi-Fi- What? CKY with a disco sounding opening. Yes very odd song not one of my personal favorites but still a pretty solid song. I like the main guitar riff. 3.5/5

5. Lost in a Contraption- A very slow sort of a stonerish trippy vibe to it. That is until it goes to an amazing bridge guitar riff. This song tells the story of a child growing up with an abusive father and he finally just snaps and kills him. Very good song with some great vocals. 4.5/5

6. Knee Deep- The first time i heard this song i hated it. I thought to myself all it does is repeat the same lyrics over with that annoying guitar riff. Don't let that fool you, halfway threw the song you get to this amazing guitar riff, probably the best on the album. Good song 4.5/5

7. My Promiscuous Daughter- The big joke song on the album. Not meant to be good just put on the album for a laugh. Can't say i like anything about it but it has that sick CKY humor. 2/5

8. Sara's Mask- Another song im not to fond of. It's very slow, never picks up, and just overall annoying. The lyrics are pretty cool. It tells the story of a handicap girl. 2/5

9. To All of You- Very weird but very good. Great way to end the album. That weird guitar effect with Derron singing very low pitched and very mellow sounding.4/5

All and all this is a great album from a great band. Id recommend it to anyone looking for something different or fresh.

great cd, and i think the subject matter to the lyrics are amazing. i love the lyrics to sara's mask, and Rio Bravo is just awesome, although i cannot pick up the AC/DC reference in there. CKY's guitar effects are original and they sound great, which is an excellent base for their great music.

good album but i think while there are some great tracks on the album ("96 Quite Bitter Beings" and "Disengage the Simulator") there are still a couple weak ones "Knee Deep" and the album is way too short so i dont think it deserves anything above a 3.5

Pretty good review, but as a pretty big CKY fan I'd have to say Promiscuous Daugther and Sara's Mask might be my two favourite songs on the album. I think they are much more well written than the other ones, and they also don't follow the same pattern. This is CKY's best IMO. 4.5/5

This is the only CKY album I own, and it's amazing. I've only heard Halfway House, like, 2 times because it doesn't seem worth it to fast forward through 15-17 minutes of silence for it. Also, I thought it was a bit on the shorter side. The riff from 96 Quite Bitter Beings is addicting to play on guitar.

Should I get IDR or AACBF next?

"my promiscuos daughter is about someones brother screwing the persons daughtr, i think"

well thats pretty self explanatory since the lyrics 'I caught my daughter giving head to my brother' are repeated over and over again. Mediocre review, the track paragraphs are way too short and generalised

3/4's of this album is solid rock. I agree with your overall rating.
