Review Summary: What every true 2pac fan should own.

Back when this album came out, it was about the same time when 2pac was sent to jail for those claimed rape charges. While he was chillin in the cell, his first classic came out.

Me Against The World is the kind of album that is so soulful that it will touch fans in the heart and even maybe shed a tear drop or two. Before this album came out, 2pac was just your average everyday rapper that talked about girls, politics, and the world. You could always tell that after every album he evolved even more as a mc. This is a mc that lets his soul bleed to the fullest and is not afraid to confess his feelings about the world.

On this album it proves how much of a poet 2pac really was. Everything that he ever lived through basically is heard on this album like the ghetto, hip hop, and love. This is truly a hip hop masterpiece because not only does 2pac speak about all these subjects with perfection; he also shows a style that cannot be copied.

But a classic cannot be without its production though and by all means does this album deliver in that category. It seems that all the rhymes that Tupac spit go right with the beat's emotion. For example, the track "Old School" has a celebration throw your drinks up beat that is meant to get those true hip hop head bobbin with a grin on their face. 2pac essentially tells his love and memories when hip hop wasn't about pissed off release therapy and more about having a damn good time.

But 2pac really spills his soul on the track "Dear Mama" where he talks about how he lived through the everyday struggle with her and how he would not be the same person with out her. He thanks her for everything he did for him good or bad. No rapper does this any more, talks about their actual feelings on record. 2pac had balls doing this and it worked.

The whole album is good from his "Temptations" with the ladies to his "Outlaw" ways. Every song has a different mood and subject but is never too much. 2pac comes with a new style that is so different from even today’s standards that people wonder why he is so important to this genre. Ever since 2pac came and left this earth, he left a legacy for his poetry on beat and showed that you don't have to be hard or money obsessed to sell records. You just got to be original that ain't afraid to do new things to be a good mc.

This is also Pac's favorite album. IMO his best works, then comes All Eyez. Review was alright written, but you should of included more in it, because the whole album wasn't about soul, he still had his thug and gangsta moments involved. And he wasn't a typical rapper before this, he was still new and had something that no one else had, as he showed in 2pacalypse Now.

some real cool songs on here.one of his best albums i think. some of its prety dam cheezy tho, esp. the production at times. if tupac stayed alive and colaborated with wu and gangstarr like he was intending to do i think he would have made a ridiculously cool album

:'( pour out a lil' liquor for pac!

oh good review btw, sounds like u really like 2pac though, i think a non-pac fan wouldnt be convinced.

The best 2Pac album released.Anger, hate and emotions poured into these tracks really convince you that he was the greatest rapper lived so far.

I have The 7 Day Theory and it's good but it is everyone's personal opinion and mine is that Me Against The World is superior and his best album.
