  • Venpts16 I remember Burnt Offerings being a bit of a grower for me, too. Some of the songs (Creator Failure, Burning Oasis) didn't click on my first few listens, though I did love a few songs immediately. I'm glad that you enjoyed this album, and I hope you like the other albums by Iced Earth as well (providing you decide to look into their material further).

  • Venpts16 As for Iced Earth, they are very different. They are a blend of thrash and power metal, though their earliest albums are extremely thrashy. I would suggest that you should start with Night of the Stormrider or Burnt Offerings, two personal favorites of mine. Both are on the heavier side of power metal, and are very complex in comparison to other power metal bands. Their later albums are a bit more power metal-like, but I suggest starting with those two because of your own love for thrash metal.
