TheBalderdashMan See, for reasons I'm not really clear on, your cousin has decided that I'm an authority on folk. I can direct you to Joni Mitchell (all I've got is Blue) and Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan. If you're ok with late '60s folk then definitely go for Songs of Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison's Astral Weeks. According to my RYM page, that's literally all I have that fits your description.
