They improved, but only because the keyboard is more prevalent and the riffs are better. Otherwise, it sounds exactly like their old stuff
| |
Sweet. I'm super cereal for this.
Not as bro as I was hoping for. I hope they capitalize on Angels Of debauchery, Decimate The Weak, and The Impaler for the next album.
| |
Yeahh after about 3 listens to the song, it's actually much better and well thought out than their old stuff. I love the keyboard usage and the song structure itself is quite good. Its even catchy at parts
| |
Also, intro and breakdown at 2:54 own
| |
sucks
| |
Not better than my favorite tracks from the previous album. Still esxpecting this to be fun, heavy, and bro to the max.
| |
Call me impressed. They also have an album teaser which contains a minute and a half of music which people suspect to be the intro track "Earth." Scroll down and it's on the left side of their myspace.
Not a fan of deathcore, but their last album showed a lot of promise and this one only seems like it can top it.
| |
EPIC KEYBOARD BREAKDOWN
song sucks
| |
also, band needs more sleeve tattoos
| |
balls, can you explain this weird obsession with Brocore?
what the fuck is brocore anyway?
| |
It sounds kind of Decimate The Weak v2.0 to me, but the keys and strings sound very nice being more prevalent.
I like it a lot.

Ok song overall. Better than a lot of most deathcore out there, but still nothing to get overly excited about. The breakdown at 2:54 was kinda awesome though, no joke.
| |
that was pretty meh. i never really got into these guys, plus when i saw them live, their vocalist smelled funny.
| |
These guys have a lot better guitaring then most bands in the genre.
Not to bad. Something to look forward to, as Suicide Silence failed again on their new album.
| |
not bad. i still really don't like his vocals at all though =/
| |
the vocals are ridiculous.
| |
-ly bad.
| |
oh, and Decimate The Weak was also that. This seems slightly better though.
| |
sigh.....that keyboardist of theirs. song is kinda nice though, the keys are not synth-strings for once.
| |
what a terrible song, it was so boring i could barely sit through it without want to kill something. Like their last CD, this one is gonna suck just as more, and their artwork for this new album is just a joke.
| |
You're a joke so stop posting.
| |
me no like jokes.
| |
the artwork is swish though.
| |
The artwork is good, i'll give them that, but it is not enough to make me consider buying a cd by them.
| |
I'd buy that jersey of theirs. That thing is sweet. And a little cheaper than your average tool jersey from Tillys and/or Pacific Sunwear.
| |
yeah this band actually is pretty good live. and kristen :swoon:
| |
Same here. If they can out-bro The Impaler i'll be shocked.
| |
sorry you think I'm a joke. I just don't see how someone could like this new song, it's just really boring in my opinion.
| |
^ Well it is super average if that accounts for anything.
| |
You just seem to be another basher who'll hate anything this band puts out so your opinion on the subject is void. Of course I transitioned from uber hater to big fan so i'm not the one to talk. Dont mind me, my brodar has grown exponentially.
| |
Brodar...
| |
I liked Decimate the Weak, but I didn't like that so much to be honest. And if that sample is anything to go by, the album is going to be a gay concept album.
| |
I'm LiKiNg ThE iNtRo, VoX sTiLl SuCk.
| |
Nothing will out-bro the video for The Impaler...well that Emmure video for whatever song of theirs is almost on par with it.
Song was...pretty mediocre but when you compare it to their old stuff it sounds pretty good.
| |
The vocals were annoying on Decimate the Weak, but the ones are here aren't that bad.
| |
holy shit the art on their myspace is fucking awesome
| |
im sure it took them a grand total of a couple mins to find some kid to do it for them
| |
as for the song, i actually didnt mind too much of it, riffage is a little better, the vox still need to get better though, sounds about the same as the last album.
but so far its better than i expected honestly
| |
The vocals really do seem to be only problem I have with this band.
| |
4 minutes too long.
| |
WINDS OF PLAGUE return with the much anticipated new full-length release, The Great Stone War. A concept record and their most epic and unrelenting offering to date, this album is going to quickly propel the band to the forefront of the American metal scene.
...orly!?
| |
It's a concept album?
| |
Yessirrr.
Wikipedia says "The band has stated the album will be a concept record.Vocalist Jonathan Plague states, "The idea of The Great Stone War is that civilization as a whole will digress and in time inevitably end with one final battle. This battle will not be fought with technology but with stone. Over the course of eleven tracks the listener hears about a journey foreseen through the eyes of a heathen in a religious world apocalypse. Even in the world’s darkest times you always have to take a step back and see life for what it is and not lose sight of what is most important.”"
| |
That reads like some Rhapsody type stuff... I don't think Winds of Plague has the chops for something like this.
| |
The concept of BROtality.
| |
tr00 dat, album will be cr00sh to say the least.
| |
good song
