Infernus Wins Gorgoroth Claim

2009-03-16 by Tyler Munro EMERITUS | 8 Comments
Oslo City District Court has denied former Gorgoroth bassist King ov Hell's trademark registration of the band, coming to a partial verdict declaring the Gorgoroth trademark properly of guitarist and founding member Infernus.

The court ruled that King ov Hell and Gaahl excluded themselves from Gorgoroth trademarks after they attempted to fire Infernus in October 2007.

While Infernus, Gaahl and King ov Hell have yet to settle financial disputes surrounding the band, Gaahl and King have issued the following statement regarding the band's name:

"Gaahl and King wish Infernus the best of luck using the banner of GORGOROTH on his art.”

A final verdict is expected in the coming weeks.

Kind of surprised, then again...eh. Oh well, wonder if he'll actually do anything with the name.
