Seems like Hollywood is about to get RickRoll'd.
Astley has revealed that he has finishing writing a musical based around his songs, and is currently touting it in the film industry. "My wife's now a movie producer so I read a lot of scripts and I'm really passionate about films", he explained. "One day I thought, 'Well, why don't I write one?' And it turned into a musical - but not for the stage. It's dominated by the songs I've written - they tell the stories - so I hooked up with a guy in California and we wrote the script together. We're at the point of speaking to a few different agents and getting people to read. I'm not fooling myself - nothing may come of it and I totally understand that, but as a process I have loved it".
If commissioned, it would represent a major step for Astley, who has largely shied away from the public eye since the peak of his fame in the 1980s.
I hooked up with a guy in California
Saw it coming.

this should be incredibly gay.
Someone needs to come up with the biggest rick-roll ever... I'll never get bored of new rick-rolls
Well, that does it. The mutants at 4chan have won.

Apparently there was some dude demonstrating a load of plasma screens in some building somewhere who started playing Never Gonna Give You Up, thus giving him the biggest Rick Roll ever.
Well it got played at the Mets game, and the Macy's Day Parade. So millions got RickRolled at that.
i was pretty impresed with the rick roll at the thanksgiving or christmas day parade in new york, or there was one at a baseball game where fans voted for a song and that one won
Edit:damn, im too slowThis Message Edited On 02.02.09
Macy's day parade also had Rick personally sing... so.. that one wins. So far, Rick Astley is responsible for the biggest rickroll ever.
He's "never gonna give this up, he's never gonna let us down".
Anonymous will be pleased....
I will relay the news with most haste.
haha yes! amazing
I'm talking a national scale rick-roll... perhaps a breaking news report that tells everyone about a new deadly disease and tells them to watch the news at a certain time, where they play the video. Crap idea, I know, but something like that.
I was planning to massively advertise a fake new BOTAR album via their site and then leak it right away and have all the mp3s be never gonna give you up
but that would be extremely hard/ a dm
dammit. i was going to be the one with the witty one-liner about him hooking up with a guy in california.
