Ugh
| |
that intro sounds so weak lol
| |
Boring
| |
that was good
| |
Was going to listen, then realized there's no point since I already know it's trash
| |
enjoyed it, Matt's screams have really improved plus the drumming is great. Just wish the production was better. Best song they've released so far.
| |
Like this one but its the weakest for now.
| |
Great track. Very much disliked Silence in the Snow, but this is pretty solid, enough to make me optimistic for the album.
| |
This is the same heavy music that was on shugun so it's good . However this song is boring it terms of the composing , Liked the 2 other singles more
| |
weakest of the 3 so far, but still optimistic for the album.
| |
All 3 have been better than 90% of the last 2 albums. I'd say sin >>betrayer>heart. Album looks promising anyway. Surprised this has not leaked yet...
| |
I'd actually say this is better than the other two singles. Good to hear drumming and riffs back at the forefront. But hey, opinions.
| |
It has leaked. It's pretty fucking good.
| |
The guitars sound really weak in the mix outside of the chorus, and the mix really focuses too much on the vocals, too. Kinda surprising how they could go from "decent" to "absolute mess" so quickly.
| |
Beyond Oblivion definitely should have been a single.
| |
New album is damn good. Heart from your Hate is probably the weakest track.
| |
Yeah without a doubt, apparently it was much more extreme to begin with, wish they hadn't changed it or they at least release the early version as a bonus track.
| |
Is this bad
| |
Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr is still the only song I've ever heard by this band lol.
| |
Go listen to Shogun. Best thing they ever did.
| |
New album is great. Definitely sits in the top 3 with Shogun and Ascendancy. They seem more inspired here than since Shogun.
| |
wait is the album really that good? might have to listen to it then
| |
Might honestly be my favorite Trivium record ever. A solid 4. Thrown into the Fire is an absolute banger.
| |
Yeah the last two songs are some of the best they've done.
Gotta admit, I enjoyed the album more than I thought I would.
| |
are there a lot of cleans though? cuz i really don't like his new sound
| |
yeah he does cleans too, but it's definitely better than before.
| |
Thank you Toondude for confirming my choice not to listen to this.
| |
This sounds pretty good tbh.
| |
It is (the album btw).
| |
will this be a 1 or a 1.5? I wonder. Only one way to find out.
| |
This is all over the place
Nice dig evo
Also, the YT comments on trivium videos are classic piss. 'One of the best albums in metal history. Perfection beginning with the first note till the last one. Phenomenal!' Ha nice try shitehawk
| |
The new drummer is good.
| |
it'll be a 2/5 if the rest has enough melodic metalcore riffs to which you can at least try to pretend to enjoy; 1.5 elsewise.
| |
So the new album just appeared on Spotify (at least here in Ireland since it's past midnight). Some much more interesting and heavier tracks over the last two singles so it's worth a look.
| |
If you've enjoyed even a single thing by them in the past you should check it out.
| |
Sever the Hand is a hell of a song.
| |
Aye, it's got some serious Ember vibes
| |
Totally forgot his band existed
| |
New album is okay. The drummer is a gun
| |
I'm tempted to review it myself, just to knock some rust off the gears. Haven't done one in ages though.
| |
Tempted to listen to the new album but everything since In Waves has been complete dookie butter.
| |
This is definitely better than In Waves for me, and I really dig In Waves.
| |
It really is a shit-ton better then the last two misfires they've done. And I don't understand all the hate that goes towards In Waves, that's honestly on par with Ascendancy.
| |
^ agreed with In Waves
| |
In Waves rocked. There, I said it.
And wow, the new album is still stubbornly on 4 after sixty-something ratings. I wonder will it stay there for longer or go higher/lower.
| |
Yeah In Waves is great.
Given how good it is, I'm not that surprised at the average. Sure, there are a handful of lukewarm or even negative ratings, some of which are definitely just shitposts, but as for the others, it's just (probably biased) opinions and all that.
| |
Yeah the title track definitely isn't the highlight of In Waves for me. I really dig Caustic, Severance, and Drowning.
| |
In Waves is really good, save for Built to Fall and A Gray so Dark
| |
Built to Fall is one of the best songs on that album, dude. Agreed on A Grey so Dark, though.
| |
Lol no way the new album is as good as the avg applies
As for the song it was better than expected. That's not saying a lot though.
| |
A Grey So Dark is awesome wtf?
| |
It's impossible to please everyone, but I'm really not surprised the new album resonates with so many people. Btw, the first three singles are among the weakest songs on the album imo
| |
If u judge it based off the singles you are a clown. The singles are pretty much the weakest songs on the album anyway.
This is probably the best of the singles. Given how people seem to still lose their shit over Ascendancy (which wasn't even that good ffs) I thought people would enjoy this single more.
Last 2 songs are seriously good. Sever the Hand has some nice power chord spam in the verses that is about as aggressive they have ever been.
The Revanchist is like Shogun meets Nevermore complete with the 6/8 thing they did a lot of on Shogun and riffs that remind me of Godless Endeavour
| |
The singles are the weakest but still good tracks. Sin is a good opener, Heart of Your Hate is lacking but still memorable as a melodic piece and Betrayer proved to be a grower but worth it. So it was all the more surprising and enjoyable that the rest of the material was pretty stellar. So I'll have this on repeat for quiet a while.
On another front, I'm surprised there's still not a review of this album up yet.
