Fucking rips, dig the guitar work
| |
oh hey, new Counterparts
niceeeeee
| |
This band is my oxygen. Brendan sounds better than ever, and It's great that they've kept their trademark melodic sound without Jesse and Alex on guitar.
| |
Damn, still haven't really listened to their last one. Song is great.
| |
This isn't bad but this band is so overrated. They bore the hell out of me
| |
This is pretty solid, not exactly reinventing the wheel but these guys always have killer performances
| |
Better than anything off Tragedy Will find Us. This fucking slays
| |
Sounds exactly the same as their last album, just with corny gang vocals too
Good thing their last album was good
| |
I've been playing their previous two releases non stop this past week and now i see this. they're still on top of it, great song.
| |
lyrics are as uplifting as ever
| |
Most overrated generic hardcore group going now.
| |
These guys do no wrong. Can't stop listening to this.
| |
Counterparts will always be that one band that makes me want to listen to Misery Signals or Shai Hulud instead
| |
Fan fucking tastic.

so sick
| |
Yeah this band is incredibly overrated imo.
But if you're into the one sound they do then you're gonna win every time
| |
all their stuff sorta sounds the same to me... idk, maybe melodic hardcore isn't rly my thang. I like a couple songs on Prophets still tho
| |
If it ain't broke why fix it?
| |
Yeah same I like a few tracks on Prophets but the rest of their albums are a blur
| |
so burned out of this sound
| |
Every time these guys release an album I'm confident it won't top their previous one, but I'm always wrong. Suffice to say I'm excited.
| |
I always felt Counterparts stood out from the crowd strictly because of the brutally honest poetry Brendan writes, alongside somewhat more technical instrumentation. Nothing crazy but they arent no duds.
| |
prophets suxxxxx
way out of this sound but this is pretty solid. their meanest guitar tone yet
| |
buncha negative nellies ITT, track is nice af
| |
the vocals turn me off hardcore
see what i did there?
| |
Liking this a lot more than anything off their last album. Hopefully the rest of the album will be just as good.
| |
fucking love this track. can always count on Brendan, easily becoming one of the best metalcore vocalists
| |
The lyrics are easily the best thing about this band. Decent song, keen for the album.
| |
Yeah so this song is amazing
| |
It is indeed my guy
| |
oh my i'm late
you can definitely tell they lost their lead songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. It sounds like they're just going through the pre-established Counterparts motions as well as the instrumentation has taken a sharp turn for the boring.
that's just a first impression though. I think the track is growing on me despite the previous paragraph
| |
Dis mak wee wee har
| |
Counterparts never disappoints
| |
The part at 1:12 in this song is a great summary of what makes Counterparts so listenable. It's the kind of melodic chord progression you can find in a zillion other bands, but the ingredients are there in a way that most other bands just don't quite achieve.
