pretty sure you need a government-issued license to be this heavy

You don't know heavy if you think this is "government-issued license for heaviness" heavy.

Song was going pretty well until it got stuck in that 2 minute breakdown. If this band would knock that off they could probably be decent. But lolol song structuring let's just chug all day 2.5/5

I keep forgetting both that this music appeals to millenials still and that we're getting older. Neither are comforting thoughts.

"also look how mad zaru is about this song"

my flat tone apparently conveys more emotion than initially thought. Troubling to hear it misinterpreted as such, but I suppose such errors in judgment should not be surprising given the same common rabble also acclaim such pedestrian music.

To be read in its entirety in a bored voice, for the record.

I love the first minute of it but like botb said, it falls apart because of just overbloated breakdowns with no life and transitions between. Band has all the potential to craft an excellent record but are so focused on just breakdowns everywhere that they continually squander it.

dbizzles

I get the criticism about their reliance on breakdowns, but that's just their style and always has been. I didn't find anything particularly jarring about the transitions either, tbh. They do what they do well.

Yeah but back in the day this band had like riffs and other stuff that made them actually interesting. It wasn't until wormwood that they just abandoned having actual musicality and just bashed you over the head with as slow as possible chugs the whole record
