Eh, decent, but that's about it. Don't really dig the guy's voice. Although the last song reminded me of old school Bloc Party, musically, which I'd call a good thing.

TWY were on a roll up until the last album.
Aaron West was okay, kinda self-absorbed and the whole thing reeked of fake Americana but there was some good songwriting.
This is just awkward. It's like the songwriting we've come to expect is lacking but the really earnest lyrics are still there.

How you call Aaron West self-absorbed but not the Wonder Years is beyond me. Whoever writes the Wonder Years lyrics has got to be one of the most pretentious lyricists out there right now.

@shaq Nicely done. You made yourself look like a clown.
I never said TWY weren't self absorbed. It's emo-tinged pop punk, it's a given it's going to be self gratuitous.
Aaron West was essentially the next step up. Instead of early 20's "who am I?" we got lyrics about "rly srs adult stuff" that country musicians have done better a hundred times over.
Besides, he calls Aaron West a 'character study' when's it's a thinly veiled narrative about himself. That's pretentious as shit.

Lol, holy shit I went full retard this morning. I got Aaron West and the roaring twenties mixed up with Dan Andriano in the emergency room. I guess that's what happens when you stay up all night writing a research paper. Sorry about that Chug73, and thanks for not brutalizing my mistake too much.
