Getting hyped.
| |
But which one of us will review it tho :^)
| |
"Ulver have announced the release date for their new album"
Well don't keep us in suspense, you should put that in the article! (:
| |
Me. And I'll say it SUCKS.
| |
Xeno got the jump last time, so I'll hopefully have a review up for this one. Edited the article a bit.
| |
Hey that's my bday
| |
oh shit in april!
| |
dope
| |
YES!
| |
on the heels*
so what was Messe?
| |
it was recorded live but mixed and released as a studio album, so kind of inbetween i guess
| |
Well that was quick
| |
Messe was a collab album between Ulver, the Tromsø Chamber Orchestra, and additional aid from composer Martin Romberg. Ulver might've written the whole album though.
| |
Ooh nice Bernini artwork
| |
I hear rumor that this will be return to bm and they are planning massive world tour. I'm actually friends with ulcer we chill and shit I can't say much more tho
| |
HYPE
| |
Bernie is apparently collabin
| |
Fuck yesssssss
| |
I dug their last album, so I'm pretty stoked to hear this. I'm curious how will it sound like.
| |
this is gonna be awesome
| |
At last, some really new Ulver material at the gates.
| |
I'm trying to figure out how it's goinf to sound like, but I know Ulver don't work that way.
| |
Good news!
| |
Nice. Need to get into Ulver's post-black metal stuff
| |
i hate the title
| |
here's hoping it's not a retarded opera
| |
The title is intriguing.
| |
Excited to hear this, I really enjoyed Messe.
| |
Yep, pre-ordering this one.
| |
i am full mast
| |
ATGCLVLSSCAP is also a 'studio album' though.
| |
Not anymore, according to this database
But yeah I've always considered it, Messe, and Childhood's End perhaps as studio albums.
| |
Sure it's also a 'live' album. If I remember correctly it's all live recordings with some studio parts added later.
| |
As long as Garm sings a lot this will rule.
Messe was so awesome but I miss those swooning vox from albums like SotS and Perdition City.
| |
I remember the CD saying something like even though it was mostly recorded live, it went through so much editing, processing, and manipulations to make it what it is that they consider it more of a studio album I think.
| |
really hope they go back to electronic
| |
oh baby
| |
I thought ATGCLVLSSCAP was a studio album.
| |
I secrete saliva just thinking about it......
| |
"ATGCLVLSSCAP was a studio album."
it is a live album w/ studio elements (probably the most notable album i can think of is Zappa's Shiek Yerbouti)
| |
"
really hope they go back to electronic "
yes i want nothing more than a film noir trip hop sequel to perdition city. pleeeeeease
| |
^ this would rule. I honestly have yet to hear sth to even resemble the sound of PC.
| |
A band that actually does well with genre-bending
| |
Guess I'm gonna see mostly this material when they play at Roadburn, so it better be good.
But it is Ulver, so I'm sure it will be.

Official press release. They're saying it's going to be their "pop" album, which has me intrigued.
| |
That link does not work, but who knows what that even means in the realm of Ulver (:
| |
There I took the hyperlink out, that's all it was.
| |
you da man. Interesting little write up.
| |
hype
| |
Less than two weeks left, feeling the hype
| |
Let's gooo. Who knows what it will sound like.
| |
