fucking badass, so pumped for this to drop
| |
DH really isn't fuckin around on this one. Holy shit every single they've dropped is 🔥🔥🔥
Those riffs....wheeeeewwww
| |
shame there's no guitar solo this time though
| |
Never actually listened to Darkest Hour but I hear good things about them, what's a good album to start with?
| |
^ Deliver Us is probably their best album, shortly followed by Undoing Ruin
| |
john henry's gotta be one of my all time favorite metal vocalists.
| |
agree with panzerchrist. but all their material is quality stuff. last two are somewhat questionable, but everything before is top notch.
| |
Holy fuuuuuuuuuuck this is heavy as shit, the entire band sounds monstrous. Best single I've heard by far.
That fucking bridge though, with the half-time drums thank you oh sweet Satan
| |
very possibly best album since undoing ruin?
| |
For sure, might even be the best overall?
| |
Coming out of their last release, that seems a little optimistic but we can always hope.
| |
This sounds like old lamb of god to me haha. It's cool and dynamic and heavy but all the memorable melodic riffs from the past are gone. John Henry sounds fucking great though.
| |
all 3 tracks have ripped so far, neat
| |
This is sick! Looking forward to the record.
| |
is darkest hour gonna be good again?
bout time
| |
Album is shaping up to be monstorus. Song slays, I do hope they have a couple of melodic songs as well too. John Henry is a beast as per the group consensious.
| |
John is a fucking legend imo. Dude has been screaming for 24 years or so and he still sounds better than ever.
I prefer their melodic material, or at least I did when Norris was around, so this won't top Deliver Us or Undoing Ruin for me. But it could definitely be their best since those two, which is awesome.
| |
This is ALMOST as good as Timeless Numbers.
| |
John sounds like a goddamn monster on this, whole band does really
| |
Im stoked that the comments are so positive, cant wait to hear this
Kurt Ballou production deserves to be put on an altar and worshipped
| |
fuck yeah, this is the kind of album ive always wanted them to make. i love their melodic stuff but i always wished theyd make more heavy stuff.
| |
It kind of reminds me of the Self-titled era of Chimaira. This fucking slays.
| |
This is really shaping up to be one of their best albums. Stoked to hear the whole thing
| |
might be best since Deliver Us.
| |
good shit
| |
Fucking solid
| |
Sounds really thrash-y. Very solid. Hope there also will be some more melodic stuff on the album
| |
"It kind of reminds me of the Self-titled era of Chimaira."
Never thought about that, but I hear your point. That particular album is underrated as fuck
| |
This sounds so passionate! Brilliant!
| |
IDK if you guys read but Kris Norris collaborated with them on three songs on the record, so I bet that melodic side will be present at least in those tunes.
These guys finally have my attention again, I can't wait for this album!
| |
new album leaked, it fucking rules
| |
Haven't listened to these guys for 10 years
| |
better change that, especially with this album
| |
"This is what we think a "new school" thrash song should sound like"
olloloolol
| |
New album slays.
| |
New album slays. [2]
| |
Their last album was so bad. It's nice to see them rebound from that sumeriancore mess they got themselves it.
| |
It's interesting to hear them say on those video diaries that there were too many voices in the mix on that album, with record label executives telling them to rewrite the vocals and shit. They didn't say anything negative about the album or the label but those few comments said all they needed to.
| |
Its not a bad album. It just didn't feel like THEIR album. There were still some great songs on it.
| |
Screw all that, if it's a solid ass album it seems to have paid off imo
| |
Yeah the last album had some good songs and is very competently made, but when John Henry suddenly launches into a soaring love song chorus with simplistic lyrics i scratch my head
| |
I've always enjoyed DH and they are great live. I've met John Henry and he is a really sound guy.
This release is shaping up to be their best. With Ballou on production duties I can't see it being anything other than winning.
| |
"when John Henry suddenly launches into a soaring love song chorus with simplistic lyrics i scratch my head"
Thank god i barely remember anything from that album.
| |
The album is not terrible, there is actually lots of good stuff on it. There is just these certain parts or choruses in certain songs that just feel juvenile or at least targetted at a different age group than their previous material
| |
Fuuuuuck Travis Orbin on drums what a monster. How many fuckin monsters are on this thing lol
| |
a lot
| |
