I thought this was gonna be the Japanese idol metal band DeathRabbits at first

Song rules

Beat me to it Snide. I like the intro and the harsh vocals, but the chorus and instrumentals feel weak to me.
|
| |
why would you have a side project that sounds fucking identical to your main band lmao
|
| |
same stupid generic bullshit lol
|
| |
i think there's a local band here with the same name from like 2006 lol
|
| |
meh...
|
| |
I liked it. As far as mindless metalcore goes, this is a lot more fun than most of the stuff out there. Hell of a lot more tolerable than ETF in any regard.
|
| |
"that sounds fucking identical"
ETF's recent album sounds nothing like this.
|
| |
as if your opinion on anything matters to me at all
|
| |
"as if your opinion on anything matters to me at all"
I literally reviewed ETF's last album, and I've probably listened to it at least 60 times in full. They're completely different sound-wise.
|
| |
also I wouldn't know because I haven't listened to an escape the fate record in full since the first
but I have heard 'just a memory', a single from their latest, and it sounds exactly the same as this track. which is also terrible
|
| |
anyways dulton my point still remains
I think one of the key points of having a side project is for it to be creatively and stylistically different than the musician in questions main focus
and to say that this doesn't draw any similarity to escape the fate is extremely shortsighted just like everything you do or say in life
|
| |
I'm not saying it doesn't draw some influence from ETF, but this and ETF are two completely different genres.
|
| |
yeah okay they're both metalcore with post hardcore influence
lately you have seemed to have a little difficulty placing things into a genre jesus dolto you never cease to amaze me
|
| |
New ETF is Hard Rock with Post-Hardcore influence. This is Metalcore with Post-Hardcore influence.
Completely different genres with similar influence.
|
| |
I bet this sucks.
|
| |
I was right.
This sounds like a Blessthefall ripoff. Didn't this music die like 5 years ago?
|
| |
ETF has more than a few metalcore-esque songs (Massacre, Ungrateful, the guillotines, etc). I wouldn't call them identical but not completely different either.
@Shaq The whole point of this project was to sound like Craig's earlier work.
|
| |
what is the market for that lmao
|
| |
Craig will never top his demos with The Word Alive, should have just stuck that out instead of going to Escape the Fate. Hell he should have just stuck with blessthefall in the first place.
|
| |
Whatever it is it's enough to keep him going.
I think Craig era etf has handful of jams but a lot of his material just sounds like he rehashes his more mediocre songs. The debut for this band was pretty good too but they like beartooth the just lost their cathartic energy.
|
| |
This is fucking garbage. Why even try if you're just going to put out the same shit material from your main band. Screams are terrible. Production is pretty bad too.
|
| |
"The whole point of this project was to sound like Craig's earlier work."
I honestly can not tell the difference between his earlier work and his most recent work.
|
| |
Song slays IMO. While I am a fan of ETF, I agree, Craig is far more suited for this sound than the glam/hard rock ETF sound.
|
| |
Why does every Metalcore band suddenly start sounding like a nu metal band? The chorus sounds like fuckin Linkin Park.
|
| |
Too bad it wasn't dead mabbit
|
| |
awful
