First APC now QOTSA, gonna be a good year for rock.
Havent listened to em in a while. Ill spin like clockwork soon to make up for it album is amazing
Digging: Slowdive - 5 EP
I don't think QOTSA was ever like a "supergroup" and during ...Like Clockwork Josh Homme was the only official member and all the legendary musicians who showed up were more or less cameos
Other than that HYPE
Digging: Soundtrack (Film) - Flashdance
@TVC: Removed the super group as that was more or less my own personal touch b/c of having members from RHCP and Matodon. Anyway, you're right.
@onion: definitely my favorite QOTSA album, and actually the one that got me into them
Fuuuuck yes. I've been digging the fuck out of them lately
Digging: Threshold - Extinct Instinct
OMG OMG GET HYPED
Digging: Snow Ghosts - A Wrecking
2017 shaping up.
Digging: Sea Oleena - Shallow
A funky stoner rock album with progressive tendencies would literally blow my mind
Unless that's already been done before and I wasn't aware
Check Elder - Dead Roots Stirring
Gonna be spinning the shit out of Clockwork and SFTD today
Digging: Dissection - Where Dead Angels Lie
Digging: Black Tambourine - Complete Recordings
Also new Mastodon is going to rule too
"Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and At the Drive-In have all been recording, and we all have new records coming out this year."
Yeah I guess this qualifies as huge news anyone who wasn't aware that all 3 of them are putting out material this year lol
OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK.
I loved ...Like Clockwork, but I'm hoping they go back to their roots a bit more (SFTD, Rated R).
Any year with new QOTSA is a good year for sure ^_^
Josh please never let this band die.
here we fuckin go
Digging: AFI - AFI (The Blood Album)
New Mastodon as well? Hmmm...
Never listened to QOTSA. Where should I start from?
Mastodon are spinning their wheels these days and not nearly as captivating. But a new QOTSA album has the potential to be good I think.
Digging: Zao - The Well-Intentioned Virus
HEEEAL THEM LIKE FIRE FROM A GUN
god i am so hyped
Mythodea go in chronological order
Rated R, SFTD and Like Clockwork are best starting points probably Myth.
yes fucking please.
Digging: Sepultura - Machine Messiah
...Like Clockwork is my fave album of all time, that emotion paired with their huge fucking sound is just perfect.
Hope they make a worthy successor (but of course they will)
some more info about the new Mastodon I just found.
I feel like this is some kind of sign that I stop lollygagging and finally listen to this band
they have some great stuff and some pretty bad stuff too
Digging: Say Hi - The Wishes And The Glitch
Digging: Dropkick Murphys - The Warrior's Code
@Sin which are which
Immense hype, omg!
@wtferro Jam all albums, really.
Digging: Sukekiyo - MUTANS
@wtferro Yeah they're all excellent, but especially "Songs for the Deaf" and "...Like Clockwork"
I don't think they've ever had a bad album but Era Vulgaris is meh af
era vulgaris is literal trash in my ears
Aight, I'll probably start from their debut and just skip Era.
Looks like it's smoooooth sailing from here on out.
Digging: Cult Of Fire - Life, Sex & Death
Change the article title to include new Mastodon and ATDR albums and it would explode even more.
Omg Mastodon is pairing up with O'Brien again AND making a dark and emotional album. Damn I hope it is like CtS, that album is top gun.
The band has stated that the album is packed with ideas and resembles way more CtS than the last two albums. I think it is Brand Daylor who said that it also has that ''missing quality'' the last two offernigs may have lacked.
Ill definitely check this one out when it releases
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm band that would be 73x better with breakdowns
Does some guy saying an album will be coming out in 2017 from a band he's not even in qualify as news?
thank fuck for this
Troy proving that keeping a secret really is a lost art
i can work with this
"The band has stated that the album is packed with ideas and resembles way more CtS than the last two albums. I think it is Brand Daylor who said that it also has that ''missing quality'' the last two offernigs may have lacked"
Sounds very promising
... Like clockwork didn't lack anything whatsoever
oh god new Minus the Bear and Queens of the Stone Age announced in the same day
I must be dreaming
Digging: Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
You are, sorry
Minus the beard
Comment that on Porc's new list
@NorthernSkylark I was talking about Mastodon. Brann Dailor (whose name I mispelled terribly) is the drummer of Mastodon and was referring to ''The Hunter'' and ''Once More Round The Sun''.
omg I MISSED THIS NEWS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
