Just a few months ago I was reading an article about Emerson's passing on a magazine, and now this.

Man, ELP is just P in one year.

| |
Greg Lake
1947 - 2016
"Confusion"
Perhaps too soon to be making quips like that, but Greg Lake's performance in both ELP and King Crimson mark him as one of prog's most legendary vocalists. I owe him my love for 70's prog outside of Pink Floyd. May he rest in peace.

Really sad.

Big RIP. Fuck cancer.
Radio morning show played some Karn Evil 9 this morning, which was awesome.
| |
One of my favorite singers ever gone man..
| |
RIP.. Both him and Emerson in the same year...
Time to spin some KC and ELP in remembrance
| |
2016 is such a weird year, great albums but so many legendary musicians dying. RIP
| |
They were born in the order of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Seems they'll die in the same order too. R.I.P
| |
RIP, both Emerson and Lake this year, very sad.
Fuck cancer.
| |
OH NO!!! That's really sad news... RIP Greg Lake!
| |
It's time to spin In The Court Of The Crimson King again, I suppose.
2016 legitimately blows. Totally unredeemable year.
| |
on the same day as Lennon and Dime.
| |
there might have been things I've missed, but don't be unkind, it doesnt mean that I'm blind, but there it is, from the begining
| |
Fuck sake :'(
| |
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkk
| |
RIP, my dad is gonna be real sad.
| |
We're losing so many musical legends this year, and have already lost many, many more. Such a blow that 2/3 of the classic ELP died in such a short space of time apart. RIP guys, you be blowing utopian audiences' minds with countless different renditions of Tarkus I hope.
| |
The amount of Legends dying this year is ridiculous... RIP hard
Emerson and Lake on the same year... Poor Carl
| |
One of my dad's favorite bands, would listen to Emerson, Lake & Palmer all the time back when I was a kid. This is really sad, RIP.
| |
ffs not another one RIP
| |
RIP
| |
RIP
"Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying" - Epitaph sung by Greg Lake
| |
RIP
| |
Damn, RIP
| |
Been jamming In the Court of the Crimson King today in his honor. RIP.
| |
I always thought that when you look at the lead singers of all of the huge bands from the '70s, for sheer vocal beauty, Lake was at the top of the pack. Weird to see him go in the same year as Keith Emerson. Defininitely RIP.
| |
We've entered the stretch where just sheer numbers means we'll be seeing major rock deaths like once a month
| |
i mean, yea
| |
We have less than a month before this year is over. Just end...please.
| |
don't tempt it
| |
Hard RIP
2016 has just been brutal
| |
Carl Palmer's gonna die within the next 6 months by the way this is going. Gonna listen to Epitath now, R.I.P. Greg.
| |
It's very sad that such a talented musician has passed on. Both Emerson and Lake in one year has just been terrible. RIP Greg Lake.
| |
Sad to see the rock legends falling one by one. The clock never stops ticking.
Pictures at an Exhibition is an iconic release for me.
RIP Greg Lake.
| |
They're dying off in order of the band name. Quick, form a protective circle around Carl Palmer!
| |
Hard RIP, we lost a good one :[
| |
Rest in peace, another talent gone.
| |
Rest in peace. My dad loved these guys, so sad that him and Emerson both passed in the same year.
