Wow this song is killer. I've never really listened to Zao, are all of their albums in the same vein as these new singles?

Not really a fan of the clean vocal sections, other than that, song rips hard.

Waitng for the album drop to listen,Can anyone tell me which albums are the new songs are closest in sound too? Or is it usual Zao reinventing their sound with every release?

Just jam Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest, Liberate Te Ex Inferis and The Funeral of God.

I think this song is my favorite of the three so far, especially digging the cleans in particular

Just jam everything honestly (or at least everything with Dan as vocalist). Each Zao album is pretty different from the last, but still has that distinct "Zao" feel to them. The new album is sounding like a mix of The Fear Is What Keeps Us Here and Awake? but done like 10x better (though those two albums both rule and are pretty underrated).

Blood and Fire, Liberate, and Funeral are essential Zao though

@Cryptologous- so you are saying its on par with their worst album and their best album? Colour me intrigued :-)

@calmrose - your saying its like a mix of TFIWKUH AND Awake? That wouldnt be a bad thing at all, just hope they throw in a little experimentation a la Parade of Chaos

what is your zao tier list? i struggle to see how either albums could be considered worst or best of the band's discography.
