It's....certainly a new In Flames song
| |
Terrible.
| |
the fourth in flames song ever made
| |
Album will be a 2
| |
That was one of the most half-assed songs I've heard in quite some time. It sounds like they had ideas for 3 different songs, and just threw them together at random.
| |
Kill me
| |
The End was actually decent but every thing they released since that off this album is terrible.
| |
Ugh...made me physically ill.
| |
yo guys maybe if we pretend this is a different band to the one who released The Jester Race.. its still derivative horseshit
| |
I don't even have any expectations left for this band whatsoever but somehow they still manages to disappoint me.
| |
Everything was okay(ish) until the shit ass chugging in the chorus
| |
actually sounded kinda cool until that weak-ass chorus ruined everything.
| |

| |
Regrettable username , not that I can talk
| |
the McDonalds brand of alternative rock
| |
Downright fucking embarrassing
| |
So save me... from those boring half-assed songs.
| |
My god that chorus. Howard Benson really did work on this.
| |
what the fuck happened to this band..
this song makes me depressed af
| |
holy fuck that gave me aids
| |
one of the most horrendous cases of musical devolution ever documented
| |
Almost as horrendous as anti-Asian racism... that's some heinous shit.
| |
slightly irrelevant but i agree with ya ghost
| |
This is supposed to be the good album, if their modern history is anything to go by...
STYE was meh, followed by the impressive Come Clarity.
ASOP was meh, followed by the good to sometimes great SOAPGRNFADNG
Siren Songs was ugggh, followed by the _____________________ Battles.
| |
"even worse" would probably be a good fit
| |
even the album title is bewilderingly shit
| |
one of the most horrendous cases of musical devolution ever documented [2]
| |
one of the most horrendous cases of musical devolution ever documented [3]
| |
jesus this is just pathetic
| |
oof.
| |
This isn't that bad. Just not something I'd actively listen to. But if someone plays this in the car who doesn't listen to anything good I wouldn't mind.
| |
my god, that chorus is painful.
| |
"But if someone plays this in the car who doesn't listen to anything good I wouldn't mind."
I prefer not to ride with people who don't listen to anything good
| |
"oof."
With ya on that one. You just have to take a step back and be like "wow".
| |
"I prefer not to ride with people who don't listen to anything good"
agreed hard
| |
It's like In Flames listened to Engel and Dead By April and thought they should make an album with that sound.
| |
"This isn't that bad. Just not something I'd actively listen to. But if someone plays this in the car who doesn't listen to anything good I wouldn't mind."
[2]
well said
| |
Christ, this band just gets worse and worse
| |
Kinda blah.
| |
more like fucking blah as shit.
This and the new Lena Dunham track are ruining my exam week
| |
"more like fucking blah as shit."
Yeah, you're right. I was being too kind.
| |
"new Lena Dunham track"
Wha... what?
| |
It's meant to be a pro hillary song but she's rapping and it's just not cool
https://youtu.be/H51HuNX41Fg
One part of me thinks she is self-aware to know that this is going to get roasted but in hipster style she has to wrap it up in levels of irony.
| |
Yeah I'ma carry on not clicking that link.
| |
It's got Lena in a bikini so I don't blame u
| |
Ewwwwwwwwwwww.
Sounds more like a "Paid for by Donald Trump for America" ad.
| |
Gotta love the US, their elections are literally a joke.
| |
My fucking country.
| |
sucks to be u
| |
Nah America's fucking awesome.
| |
....yeah
| |
YEAH!
| |
better than that third world shithole you call australia that's for sure
| |
Trump2016 fuck America over again
| |
... I like Australia.
| |
Hahaha he's gonna win, too.
| |
you can't get a gun bro it's a disgrace
| |
Not legally.
| |
shameful country
| |
Yeah that's lame af but they're good on PC stuff generally.
| |
Relax futures, I don't hate the US.
Always fun to poke them though, they are a defensive bunch.
| |
i'm just joking dude lol
| |
Here we just watch the election circus and without context (bc we fucking lazy af here) its
Trump: Racist sexist braindead and
Hilary: Corrupt terrorist supporting war-drum beater.
Where is the lie?
| |
Those are accurate.
| |
both true that's why i voted for a 3rd option
| |
Sometimes I'm glad AA and DT are sticking to same shit but still popping decent albums
| |
There's a 3rd option? srs question.
| |
lol yes only one 3rd party on the ballot in all 50.
| |
Yeah both Futures and I vote third party but it doesn't matter in the scheme of things.
| |
I no longer care about In Flames sounding like their older material. I just them to make something worth listening to again. I don't know what they're trying to do here, but god damn it ain't good.
| |
The chorus is an abomination, the rest of the song is ok-ish.
| |
"I prefer not to ride with people who don't listen to anything good"
well not everyone I spend time with listens to Death, Cannibal Corpse, Vektor, etc lol
| |
find better friends
| |
Yes, because friendship is boiled down to musical tastes.... some of my best friends have a terrible taste in music and some of the people I've met in shows who have the most similar taste in music to me are giant assholes.
| |
didn't expect anyone to take that seriously lol
| |
You can't blame him, there are people who actually think like that, and the metal community are probably some of the biggest culprits of that narrow minded mentality.
| |
How about this song though? Starts off okay with that nice melody, but quickly turns bland. The chorus is kinda catchy, but not really what I want to hear from In Flames. It could be much worse though.
| |
Well,it seems like we share the same thoughts about this song. It's definitely not great but it's far from bad. Surprised that the album hasn't leaked yet btw
| |
Yeah yall are making this sound like it's utter shite and though it has little redeeming qualities it could def be worse... like a 2.5/5 song maybe
| |
"find better friends"
like you ? (:
| |
'better than that third world shithole you call australia that's for sure'
typical ignorant, obnoxious yank. Ive lived in both countries for over a year and gotta say Australia is superior in just about every aspect.
| |
they've always been a fourth rate Soilwork clone
| |
That was the biggest fucking piece of shit I have ever heard. Shame on In Flames. This sounds like All That Remains in a bad rehearsal.
Fuck this shitty band.
| |
Agreed. Motherfuckers. I'm pissed off. R.I.P In Flames
| |
Australia has NeOb and Ulcerate's nearby too
| |
And belakor and aquilus And a respectable welfare and healthcare system
| |
lol
| |
And LOTS of venomous creatures that want to bring you home for dinner
| |
fourth rate soilwork clone. they copied soilworks entire style. pretty pathetic
| |
that's not even good trolling
| |
Lol soilwork
| |
cheers ballsdeep.
Also, free healthcare. I like being able to go to a doctor or hospital and not be in debt for 20 years.
| |
I made it througt the first 20 seconds. Is this considered an achievement?
| |
I actually really like it, especially the pre-chorus. Definitely not terrible. However, I am so fucking sick of bands naming songs "Save Me." Those have to be the most generic and overused lyrics in all rock and metal music. Every fucking band has a song called "save me" anymore. It makes me cringe anytime I hear the lyric "save me from myself." I can deal with this song, but it would be a lot better if they wrote better lyrics.
| |
They need to go back to writing lyrics about being crushed by giant mysterious buildings. Their old lyrics had great imagery.
"I often dream of huge, numb buildings
jet-black, sinister architecture
being installed when nobody sees.
Their appearance so sudden
that few would take notice.
And when I wake up
I imagine being crushed by one,
imagining its weight, its silence
and the absence of excuses for a havoced life
and the privilege of a 22-kilometre tombstone."
| |
Old albums were full of good lyrics.
| |
Album will be worse then siren charms [3]
| |
disagree with that tbh, new songs aren't good but with the exception of The Truth they sound better than most of that album to me. they at least sound a little more like In Flames, like a watered down version of A Sense of Purpose as opposed to whatever the fuck they were trying to do with Siren Charms
| |
Chorus sounds like a Demon Hunter track
| |
Hey Jesterhead, right thread, wrong song for u
| |
Uh what
| |
album leaked, so far it's definitely worse than Siren Charms
| |
I like it more than Siren Charms but that's not saying much
| |
it's a shame because there are some good melodies but they're just hampered down by the awful production and the vocals.
| |
You know the album is really bad when even fanboys like me dislike it
| |
Sweet can't wait to hear how horrible it is
| |
[2]
| |
Good god it's actually worse than I expected. It's like St.Anger had some disguisting child with lulu or something. A complete disaster
| |
Can't be that bad.
| |
Might exaggurate a tad but jesus christ, the songs are seriously completely lifeless. As a life-long In Flames fan, It was just a big pain to listen to.
| |
Going to listen just out of curiosity, last one I liked was SOAPF.
| |
new one is bad but nowhere near that bad, it just sounds like a dull watered-down version of ASoP with some of the pop songwriting of Siren Charms
I honestly like it more than the latter. still bottom-tier In Flames by a good margin though.
| |
Dude, there's no way it's worse than Lulu
| |
Of course it is, lulu is a avant garde masterpiece
| |
be careful flug sarcasm is often lost over the internet
| |
there is not a grain of sarcasm in my written words
| |
'Drained' is actually pretty decent
| |
Chorus is fairly catchy fight me
| |
