Read on Alt. Press that the next album is gonna "dancey"

I threw up

Why

obligatory 'it's ironic that they're donating to cancer bc this gave me cancer' comment.

Hmm.
Doomed indeed.
| |
This was a phenomenal song on a shitty album
| |
Album is horrendous
| |
This was a phenomenal song on a shitty album [2]
| |
yeah this song rules i give it a solid 1.5/5
| |
quite embarrassing that an entire orchestra learnt a bmth song
| |
99% chance that Balls didn't listen to the video.
| |
100*
| |
At least you admit to being closed-minded about it.
| |
orchestra sounds way out of place with this song
| |
nah I watched it, i dont know what to say. They execute their part well but i'm not a fan of the original song and I don't like the principle of it. There are other bands who are more deserving of a fkn orchestral backing.
| |
If you think this is egregious on any level you are deliberately ignoring that it is incredibly benign compared to a vast amount of music out there.
| |
Nah dude, song is garbage.
| |
4.5 superb
A Day to Remember For Those Who Have Heart
A Day to Remember Common Courtesy
| |
Misleading title is misleading. I was hoping they were breaking up.
| |
not being quite as bad as garbage is now an achievement? #todayIlearnedonSputnik
| |
Go listen to your OG Disney soundtracks Zaru.
| |
Obligatory comment on the obligatory 'it's ironic that they're donating to cancer bc this gave me cancer' comment.
| |
This comments section is literally fucking cancer.
| |
Can't wait to hear metalcore 000-000 chug breakdowns with horn accompaniment
| |
The sountrack from basically any disney film is better than this album--both the original and live orchestral version. But I mean that goes without saying.
| |
The orchestral version is better than the original, but holy fuck both this and the original rule.
They're not deathcore anymore guys, let it go.
| |
Biggest disappointments of 2016: BMTH album and Charlie selling out and re-joining Busted
| |
They weren't really good when they were deathcore, imo. I mean, when I was 18 and had a copy of Count Your Blessings I thought they were something special, but that was literally 10 years ago.
| |
There Is A Hell... was this band's peak, but this new alt rock style is great.
| |
I threw up [2]
| |
Half of Suicide Squad and half There is a Hell for me. I only really liked Drown off their latest, can't believe they are now going dancey for their next effort
| |
What the hell is wrong with those albums? They are great pop punk/post-hardcore albums.
| |
Really wishing they'd made Sempiternal Vol 2.
| |
"great"
| |
How much do I have to pay snide for him to never comment again
| |
@NorwicScene Suicide Squad. Hahaha. Don't you mean Suicide Season?
| |
Great song.
| |
This and Run were the only songs I enjoyed on TTS, such a shitty album
| |
This wasn't bad at all in my opinion. It actually sounded pretty good.
| |
It sounded good. Really added something to a song that I felt was pretty bland.
The question that I'm left with is why was Bring Me The Horizon chosen for this particular project? Why not hit up Mastodon and have them do Crack the Skye or Blood Mountain? Or the Deftones? I think you could get some really interesting reinterpretations of songs from those albums rather than just have them play background to this one.
| |
holy shit imagine an orchestral rendition of agalloch -limbs or Isis- so did we I'm getting hard just thinking about it
| |
why do they have to contaminate the royal albert hall goddamn
| |
i just wanna punch the vocalist in the face
| |
Really wishing they'd made Sempiternal Vol 2. [2]
| |
This is actually an incredible rendition. I want more
| |
this article has brought so many new users out of the woodwork
| |
I give this a standing ovation.
| |
Oh dear
| |
Look on the bright side they COULD be doing what Attila is doing now...
| |
I honestly don't get why it's so cool to hate on them. This is pretty damn good.
| |
Inoffensive as fuck.
| |
They are great They revolutionized deathcore
| |
"this article has brought so many new users out of the woodwork"
new Korn, that Linkin Park review, are all part of this weird cycle.
| |
"quite embarrassing that an entire orchestra learnt a bmth song"
Learnt....lmao. Well, I see someone is British. A cup of tea and all that. Smashing lads.
Anyways, I don't even understand why we post BMTH on here when you know it's just going to get negative reviews. I quite enjoy this album and this performance was great.... not that my opinion matters to the greats of Sputnik.
| |
That's The Spirit was their Black Album moment. Threw them into the mainstream with a considerably watered down sound compared to their previous efforts. They want to go a "bit weirder" on their next album so we'll see if it ends up being their Load.
| |
"Half of Suicide Squad and half There is a Hell for me. I only really liked Drown off their latest, can't believe they are now going dancey for their next effort"
"Suicide Squad"
| |
Damnit sowing bring me the horizon can be doomed but there can't be a ghost of Silverstein?
| |
Just listened to this, I liked it but of course I would considering I love this song
| |
I'm liking how the orchestra does most of the heavy lifting here. Prob gonna be their best record.
| |
this is off their last album you idiot
| |
Play nice Futures
| |
probably the best thing they've done
seems like most songs are off latest/sempiternal, with only one from "there is a hell" (it never ends)
| |
The song serves as a single for both the album and the upcoming live album Live At Royal Albert Hall where band played along with an orchestra.
This version is on their live album, which is prob gonna be their best record.
| |
I love what they did on That's the spirit . For me it is much accessible than what they did before , and I prefer it that way . Hope the next one will be the same
| |
I bet this would have been awesome to see live.
| |
Every time these guys release an album, I think it's awesome for a couple of months and then never listen to it again. I think this is the only one that stuck with me at all, because I still enjoy it.
| |
Liking the article title. Rarely see clever ones these days
| |
"not being quite as bad as garbage"
...
"I'm liking how the orchestra does most of the heavy lifting here. Prob gonna be their best record."
Eat humble pie, Zaru. Eat it up.
| |
your comment was silly so I pointed that out lol. A band shouldn't get props for just being benign. If anything that should still detract from their worth. The band gets more criticism because of their popularity, which is generally how things work.
| |
You misread. I was saying that people bitching and moaning is unjustified cause this isn't offensively bad by any stretch. I don't think this is benign, I'm just saying that AT WORST it is, so the "oh god I just puked this is so awful" comments are just because it's them.
| |
to be fair that was just sach being sach
| |
Sach isn't even itt; that's torts being torts.
| |
Ugh whatever. I can't keep their alts straight.
| |
Well at least you listened to it so props for not being a little bitch.
| |
pretty good
| |
Hyped as hell for this.
| |
That autotune though.
| |
This is probably the best song on the album.
| |
Nah m8, Avalanche fucking rips.
Can't wait to hear the live orchestra version.
| |
Drown and Doomed > all the other tracks on the album
| |
It's a shame they didn't play songs like Deathbeds or Blessed With a Curse. Would be amazing with the orchestra.
| |
This band is a pop metal band for young chicks
| |
Is it alright to listen to a pop metal band for young chicks if I'm a 27 year old grown man ?
| |
this band is average at best, but this video is so cool... you have to appreciate at least some aspect of the planning/performance of playing with an orchestra even if the band is room temperature shit on a good day
| |
This is noise for people who is derpin while I am djentin. Sempiternal and there is a hell were decent despite of some bad songs but this is boring and predictable as shit
| |
boo hoo who cares.
| |
