Band is staggeringly bad, I think I bumped Challenger a few times to write a review somewhere but it was dreadful

Can't believe this is the same band that wrote The Hollow, crazy to see such a decline. They were never amazing but at least they used to make pretty good metalcore imo.

As usual Matty's lyrics are the worst thing about the song. He needs to fuck off with his self-important bullshit, it's getting real tiresome. Well, anyway, looks like my worst album of the year has finally arrived.

Matty's a dummy, even 15 year-old-me took issue with him moaning about internet haters on Challenger. Lyrics have only gotten worse since imo...

I really enjoyed The Hollow and Challenger a lot but Unconditional was like a different band made it so unless they're reverting to the better material, it isn't worth the time.

"Don't be too preachy if you wanna be loved"

Isn't that kind of what the vocalist does?

How dare you point out Matty's hypocrisy? Don't you know he's the voice of a generation?

I don't think it's hypocrisy, I think he's sarcastically stating what he feels people told him with the complaints on Unconditional, or maybe I put more thought into this song than Matty did. Either is really a possibility.

Matty sounds so different, what happened. Took me a while to really be onvinced it's him.

Overall - expected a shitfire, don't expect anything from them after Challenger, but this was pretty great actually.

Sleepless Nights is easily the best song on Unconditional, half of that album is shit though.

"feat. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach" The kind feature that displays that a band has finally given up.

New song is average but the whole "going against the establishment" lyrics (especially from a "christian metal band") makes it absolute crap.

Hallow, Sleepwalking, and Challenger are all pretty solid imo.. but then they just fell off. This song did nothing for me, nor did most of their last album.

EP is still their best by a country mile however. More cowbells >>>>>
