This is really good

If this is the direction their next release is taking, color me very interested.

Has an Underoath thing going on, which they do really well. Good to know they're moving away from the typical metalcore sound you hear nowadays.

God I miss Underoath.

Too bad so few singers in the genre can do the deeper yells Spencer did. Rarely ever hear a "TEAR ANOTHER PAGE FROM THE BOOK! Are you asleep or just ALONE!?" moment from any of these bands.

Songs not too bad but not too good either

@GhostOfSarcasticBtrd It's an easy way to filter. If someone's signed to, lets say Rise Records, I probably wouldn't like it, since Rise is known for a lot of metalcore and post-hardcore, genres I don't tend to enjoy (with a few outliers). With that, I probably wouldn't enjoy this.

And judging by the track here, I wasn't wrong in that regard.

Track kicked ass. First thing I've really enjoyed by them since the Zombie EP, his screams actually are tolerable now.

I don't really get the whole "Rise Records sucks only has shit generic bands" crap people always spout. The Early November? Dance Gavin Dance? Silverstein? These are bad generic bands, or very consisting at-the-top of their genre bands? Take your pick, latter to me.

' The Early November? Dance Gavin Dance? Silverstein? These are bad generic bands, or very consisting at-the-top of their genre bands? '

DGD are pretty hit or miss and are generally pretty overrated
Silverstein were always generic, slightly better these days but still nowhere near the top of their genre
Early November are pretty good yea

You also got pmToday, PVRIS, Poison the Well, Polar Bear Club, Tides of Man. To be fair though, they are all dead, on hiatus or changed label (excluding PVRIS)

Silent Planet isn't as good as Underoath, but have you heard their song Nervosa? I think that Garrett's screams in that song are pretty freaking good.

Zombie is pretty boring to me, I feel like people just jizz on it because it's their heaviest. Dead Throne beats it, and if this song is hinting at the direction of their next release then it'll beat it too
