This is really good
If this is the direction their next release is taking, color me very interested.
| |
awesome song.
| |
"Rise Records"
yuck, toss'd.
| |
You care what label someone is on?
| |
Has an Underoath thing going on, which they do really well. Good to know they're moving away from the typical metalcore sound you hear nowadays.
| |
God I miss Underoath.
Too bad so few singers in the genre can do the deeper yells Spencer did. Rarely ever hear a "TEAR ANOTHER PAGE FROM THE BOOK! Are you asleep or just ALONE!?" moment from any of these bands.
| |
Songs not too bad but not too good either
| |
@GhostOfSarcasticBtrd It's an easy way to filter. If someone's signed to, lets say Rise Records, I probably wouldn't like it, since Rise is known for a lot of metalcore and post-hardcore, genres I don't tend to enjoy (with a few outliers). With that, I probably wouldn't enjoy this.
And judging by the track here, I wasn't wrong in that regard.
| |
Song kicks ass
| |
That's a lot of flashing lights
| |
This is the best they've been. Not great, though.
| |
Hmmmm I'm impressed. Like that length too. This could be a good album if we get stuff similar to this.
| |
Track kicked ass. First thing I've really enjoyed by them since the Zombie EP, his screams actually are tolerable now.
| |
I don't really get the whole "Rise Records sucks only has shit generic bands" crap people always spout. The Early November? Dance Gavin Dance? Silverstein? These are bad generic bands, or very consisting at-the-top of their genre bands? Take your pick, latter to me.
| |
hell yeah
| |
not bad at all ooo
| |
Its amazing how these guys have consistently gotten better and better.
| |
not too bad tbh
| |
' The Early November? Dance Gavin Dance? Silverstein? These are bad generic bands, or very consisting at-the-top of their genre bands? '
DGD are pretty hit or miss and are generally pretty overrated
Silverstein were always generic, slightly better these days but still nowhere near the top of their genre
Early November are pretty good yea
| |

You also got pmToday, PVRIS, Poison the Well, Polar Bear Club, Tides of Man. To be fair though, they are all dead, on hiatus or changed label (excluding PVRIS)
| |
Didn't dig this too much actually, but it wasn't terrible.
| |
Implying PVRIS isn't bad and generic.
Song is better than anything off Space or "South of the City"
| |
pvris rule dude
| |
Agreed
| |
Pvris are gr8
| |
nah pvris suck arse
| |
you suck arse.
| |

| |
Decent song.
| |
These guys are never gonna live up to the standard Zombie set, man that EP is the shit.

Sounds promising, also having ex haste the day drummer is pretty cool. Just wish they'd recruit all their 'session' musicians, i just find it annoying.
| |
better than most of their stuff
| |
Threw up a bit.
| |
thats cool bro thanks for sharing
| |
"Too bad so few singers in the genre can do the deeper yells Spencer did. Rarely ever hear a "TEAR ANOTHER PAGE FROM THE BOOK! Are you asleep or just ALONE!?" moment from any of these bands."
Silent Planet isn't as good as Underoath, but have you heard their song Nervosa? I think that Garrett's screams in that song are pretty freaking good.
| |
I like screamers who can transition from singing to screaming almost instantaneously in the same verse. Not that many do it.
| |
I like screamers
agreed
| |
no i prefer silent moaners
| |
im surprised that i actually kind of liked this.
| |
Wow this is surprisingly good. I havn't bothered with these guys since Zombie and Dead Throne
They will never top Zombie [666]
| |
I'm checking out the space ep now, lets see how this goes
| |
oh boy!!!!
| |
I guess with this direction they're going into, they'll never top the monstrosity of Dear Love and Plagues...
| |
this has some interest value- emphasis on the backbeat is cool
| |
"I guess with this direction they're going into, they'll never top the monstrosity of Dear Love and Plagues..."
Those are their worst albums.
| |
Space is their worst release by far
Oops forgot about With Roots that's even more shit.
| |
this is pretty rad
| |
Good for their standards
| |
Not really a fan of this band, but this was decent. Better than most of their stuff.
| |
Sounds like Architects, anyone else hearing that? Especially in the vocals.
| |
Really wasn't feeling it, honestly. Probably just not my thing though.
| |
Grooves better than anything they've done since zombie
Sounds a but like recent architects but way less boring
| |
Rolled my eyes when I saw the headline but that was actually pretty good. Mike's vocals were actually NOT horrible. This band is actually interesting when they're not just a chug fest.
| |
yeah Mike's actually making it work, he hasnt sounded bearable since Plagues, and even on that album his low growls were pretty comical.
| |
I'm not feeling this direction, I liked Zombie and Dead Throne a lot
| |
Bring back Poison the Well amirite?
| |
this was visually pretty cool too.
| |
This is actually pretty good. Nothing on Zombie but it's better than anything they've done since.
| |
Zombie is pretty boring to me, I feel like people just jizz on it because it's their heaviest. Dead Throne beats it, and if this song is hinting at the direction of their next release then it'll beat it too
| |
The reason also might be, hear me out, that music is subjective
| |
Oh shit good insight
| |
I try my best
| |
That's all that matters dude
| |
with roots is this bands best work and always will be.
love the song th0
| |
Top notch song.
| |
Zombie had their best songwriting with no filler via being an EP. Half the time this band writes albums with a few alright tracks and a ton of bs.
| |
I like it
| |
Production is ass.
| |
these artsy, semi-abstract videos are getting a little overdone within the metalcore sphere. song is pretty cool though.
| |
Call me interested!!
| |
The band has been vastly improved since Zombie, like the direction that they're going in
| |
Man, The Devil Wears Prada have only gotten better and better since Dead Throne. This song rules, was quite excited after the Space EP which I though was stellar.
