Proggier or otherwise, it should be a banger. There's been quite enough of the deathier sounding tunes to satisfy just about anyone (anyone who isn't set on not being pleasable, that is). I wouldn't be opposed if they threw some of the Ghost Reveries/Watershed-style stuff into the mix though, because those albums really got me good. But as long as we get a nice variation of acoustic and synthetic sounds as well as some nice grooves like the last two records I'll honestly be more than happy with the album.

I think the hand motion at the end of the clip was a queue to cut down the modulation at an exact point in the song.

Keyboard player has the best expressions - he doesnt look super serious and this might all be a classic Opeth joke.

I wonder for how long are people going to say that Mikael is bored/exhausted/sleepy/bummed/angry/disappointed in this video, when nothing like that is implied. He has a poker face, that's all. He might as well be serious. But no, Mikael, the one writing the songs, thinks it's lame as much as we do.
