Well at least if they're going back to regular single albums there won't be so much filler rubbish amongst the good tracks!
|
| |
Hopefully it's a lot better than Jugg. Don't let me down again.
|
| |
"Periphery III: Select Difficulty"
i love it so much cuz it's needlessly gonna piss soo many people off
|
| |
Yeah it's classic trve cvlt metallers bait Calc
|
| |
so pumped, Jugg was sick
|
| |
I usually select "I'm Too Young To Die" difficulty
|
| |
"There is a lot of speculation in here so I'll just clear it up in the hopes of damage control on misinformation.
We are extremely happy with and proud of Juggernaut, and it far surpassed our expectations in terms of response and sales, especially considering that it really was something that was more about scratching an itch for us than anything else. Alpha/Omega are personally my favorite things Periphery has put out.
Unfortunately, beyond the initial release, our general approach to the album cycle was completely mismanaged. This left us with a lot of downtime, and we made the most of that time by writing new material. We parted ways with our old management, signed up with new management, and we were already in the mood to tackle a new album.
We have no specific goal for what this next album needs to be, we are just writing things that put smiles on our faces!"- Misha Mansoor on why Periphery is back in the studio so soon.

"i love it so much cuz it's needlessly gonna piss soo many people off" hah so true
|
| |
It's gonna be another 3.5/5 album probably.
I don't know what it is about Periphery, they're amazingly talented but they do nothing for me.
|
| |
"do nothing" = 3.5/5
???
|
| |
lol this band
|
| |
what is it with these guys and coming up with shittiest album titles of all time
|
| |
they dont take themselves very seriously i suppose
|
| |
CHON and SikTh
I'm going to see SikTh because fuck
|
| |
It'll probably be a 3.5/5 like their last few. They are very talented, but they need to cut down the filler tracks.
|
| |
"Do nothing" as in I can appreciate their talent and I find a few of their songs catchy but I can't see myself revisiting their stuff very often. I enjoyed their previous albums but I never think to myself "damn I'm in the mood for some Periphery".
|
| |
Best news ever. I hope bitches got djent cuz they are right now derping, Juggernaut was sweet as hell and they are talented as fuck
|
| |
why wont they stop though
|
| |
This made me wanna jam Omega again. What an album, so much winning going on.
|
| |
that name is... embarrassing
anyway band is mah

Periphery V: Prepare To Die Edition

I need this LP for my club, Verm's Djentelmen Club, the best djentelmen club across the UK
|
| |
the only djentelmen club
|
| |
i love it so much cuz it's needlessly gonna piss soo many people off[69]
|
| |
What are yall talking about? Juggernaut (particularly Omega) was the best thing they ever dropped.
|
| |
Alpha >>>
Don't care if everyone disagrees. Will be interesting to see what path this takes.
|
| |
Juggs is good but I would also love to see a little more diversity. A lot of Juggernaut was a similar tempo, so I'd love to see some more blistering riffing like on "Graveless".
|
| |
again wtf
|
| |
I skipped their last album because a djent double album just seemed like way too much.
|
| |
Controversial opinion, but I think Periphery's at their best when they don't even djent.
|
| |
I hope they got a bit mo heavy again.
|
| |
aoty for sure
|
| |
Hahaha I like that they're continuing the trend of cheesy album titles. I always loved that they named their second album "This Time It's Personal."
|
| |
going to suck like the rest of their material for me
|
| |
Ok, I'm in a mood for some Periphery right now
|
| |
"Play on the USA?" Sounds hot.
|
| |
god please no

continue to weep, my babies :^}}}}}

Even the fans got to admit they have the worst album covers/titles

Even the fans got to admit they have the best album covers/titles

Periphery VI: You Died
|
| |
album title is funny?
yall are some virgins
|
| |
But does it djent?
|
| |
worst title
|
| |
"yall are some virgins"
I bet you don't even know how to djent boiiiii. Who needs sex when you can get off to overproduced down tuned 7 string guitars.
|
| |
^turn on the axe fx and play the same bownow riff from '08
|
| |
periphery iii: periphery vi in japan
|
| |
still not as bad as deftones releasing the same album since 2001 tho
|
| |
slap me with dem strings, but be djentle
|
| |
Speaking of Deftones, Steph needs to learn how to djent. He should go to one of those bandhappy classes that Periphery usually provide on their tours, and djent master Misha can teach Steph how to djent. They can call their next album "Deftones IX: Not Eros"
|
| |
"Deftones IX: This Time Its Personal"
|
| |
Misha would just join deftones no questions. members of these bands are whores
|
| |
ain't nothing wrong with doing lots of projects tho
|
| |
Ugh after Beta and Gamma I'm just off this band. They're going in the wrong direction and I am assuming this album will continue along that path.
|
| |
making bad music is wrong
|
| |
"They're going in the wrong direction and I am assuming this album will continue along that path."
given the band's statement and changing in manager n' stuff, there's no reason to assume things will go in the way they went with alpha & omega
|
| |
Periphery I and II were both originally intended to be the Juggernaut albums, but they had to scrap those plans for whatever reason and just do a traditional album. Now they finally got Juggernaut out of their system, and they didn't try to write a huge double disc concept album this time. So in a way, they are going in a completely different direction that they haven't ever gone before.
|
| |
Can't wait for the goofy riffs.
|
| |
why do these guys still exist
|
| |
they fulfill a need in the market
|
| |
Can't stomach the vocalist anymore, doubt the new one will be any different
|
| |
'why do these guys still exist'
cuz ur trash bro lmoa
|
| |
|
| |
somehow i've completely avoided ever listening to periphery
|
| |
not missing much tbh
|
| |
dude they make sweet guitar noises
|
| |
"Even the fans got to admit they have the worst album covers/titles"
Lol. No. i love it so much cuz it's needlessly gonna piss soo many people off [123]
|
| |
they do piss people off but they suck anyway, shit attempt at humor, could go way over the top but it's like 'meh'
|
| |
gotta agree with that
|
| |
nah theyre sick mayne
though their trolling is stuck somewhere in 2008 agrd
|
| |
same album art every time is pretty fucking lazy.
|
| |
Their drummer is a sick cunt
|
| |
Misha perfected the art of internet PR. No press is bad press, right? While other bands rail against internet trolls, Purrfurry feeds on them.
|
| |
It's true tbh. I wasn't really on any music forums or anything when periphery 2 came out and honestly the reason I heard about it was from elitists bitching about the name. I listened expecting something shitty and a bit of a laugh but found something decent instead.
|
| |
feed on trolls, listen to djent, get succ
|
| |
"Misha would just join deftones no questions. members of these bands are whores"
Rofl Did Misha spend the night and not call or something?
|
| |
Yes, and it really hurt Chino's feelings. When Girls Telephone Boys is really about Misha.
|
| |
Who the hell cares about Periphery? SiKth is FINALLY coming to America. I probably won't stay for longer than a song or two of Periphery's performance.
|
| |
"No press is bad press, right?"
not how it works. eugenio tironi, naomi klain
|
| |
priffy rules dude i love their total distaste for art
|
| |
yeah right fuck periphery, theyre cool and all, but the best part of this is the news that chon and sikth are coming to baltimore.
|
| |
sikth coming to the states is fuckin wild yea
|
| |
aaaaaaaaaah im so happy! loved all their albums especially jugg
|
| |
peiphery album titles are akin to shitposts and annoy just as many people
i love it
|
| |
"not how it works. eugenio tironi, naomi klain"
I don't understand the reference.
