If you can get over the shitty production Blackest Beautiful is fantastic. It may not have a Muther, but it's full of well written jams. New song is okay, I'm sure the rest of the album will be great

It took them what 3 albums to get to Fake History? Blackest Beautiful was straight up happy meal hardcore and this is more of the same. Certainly looks like they peaked with that and even then that was mostly just OK.

Not bad. I highly doubt this will be indicative of the sound that the entire album will have. I do miss the chaotic nature of Fake History and a good portion of Blackest Beautiful though.

It's cool! Still got that processed feel of tbb, which is a shame because I much preferred the rawer sound of fake history. Still doesn't mean it's not a cracking track

This song wouldve worked better if the hook incorporated the rally vocals in the intro instead of pushing it awkwardly into the mix of some lame ass guitar lead.

Something like Shinedown's Cut the Cord. Awful band but they figured out how to make a song like this actually work.

Song is great. Fake History will probably be there peak, but to call this bad is a big stretch. Doesn't quite pack a punch, but it's pretty fun

That 5 was just to offset the 1's it had been given before release u big fat dum dum.
Anyways yeah, this song just has no character, it's like they thought that having politically-charged lyrics was an excuse to release a song that was lacking energy in every other conceivable facet.

This actually makes me v sad because fake history is one of my favourite post-hardcore albums oat :-( Hopefully this upcoming album will contain some songs of similar quality but this single doesn't inspire confidence.

Eh, not exactly. "I am Hollywood" was clearly their best album. They were young and ambitious, but on their last 2 albums they seemed to own a new style and had a clear, focused direction. Unfortunately, they ditched their post hardcore roots, but I wont fault them for evolving, especially when they are still putting out some great stuff. Letlive seem to be putting out the same thing they've always been, just a shittier, watered down version. Hopefully I'm wrong and this single just blows compared to the album.

Also, "Suck Out The Poison" is their best album to me which nobody seems to acknowledge. I'd actually say "It Hates You" is their second best as well.

I'll always say that Fake History was Glassjaw levels of awesome. Blackest Beautiful is good. I like it less with every listen, though. Definitely a cut above most in the class of today's glossed up post-hardcore, but really disappointing in the context of them having put out Fake History. I really hope that they'll go back and build upon the Fake History. That was lightning in a bottle.
