Bury Tomorrow share new video

2016-01-27 by KrispyBalls | 16 Comments
British metalcore outfit Bury Tomorrow have released a video for "Last Light", which is taken from their forthcoming album Earthbound.

According to frontman Dani Winter-Bates, "Last Light" is "... about the acceptance of death. The video uses animation, which is something we've never done, and it's turned out awesome...

... [the video can be interpreted] two ways - either the loss of sanity whilst grieving for a loved one or the literal descent into the afterlife. I feel like the song itself shows a lot more of our melodic side."

Stream the video below:

Earthbound is slated for a January 29th release.

So is the music worth checking out, or is it really the same thing?

Songs good, my respect for these guys grew after hearing that Artery Records wanted them to basically become Asking Alexandria and dumb the stuff down and bring in electronics. It's cool that they decided to keep playing what they wanted and not give in to the demands of the record company. That being said I wish they would try to step out of the comfort zone. Some of the ambient stuff in A Union of Crowns and Runes were really good.

Can you back that story up?

I believe that story. I've heard them say that they are proud to play the style of metalcore they do and that they don't want to pander to cynics on the internet who dismiss the genre.

I don't think the song is particularly great, but I'm glad they're taking it seriously.

Didn't seem as good as the other single. Stoked for the album!

Wow this is actually tight. I want to love these guys because I dig their style and love their vocalists, but a lot of their stuff is just so samey

Still dig these guys, but yeah they need to try something new because their formula is getting really old at this point. I'll jam this album for sure but I'll probably burn out on it in just a couple of days.

Union of Crowns is still their best effort. Their current guitarist is great but the old guy wrote a lot of what made that album stand out. His absence is still felt.

I have found their music incredibly dull since the Union of Crowns.

Yeah Union of Crowns is still their best.
Just jammed the new one. Not bad at all, feel like it might grow a bit. It's nothing new though, like everyone expected anyway. Probably their most flat release even.

im so satisfied that they finally made a pretty concise album both runtime and track numbers-wise but i doubt it'll be too impressive

It's sad that they've regressed since Union of Crowns. They have literally not tried anything new and have gotten worse since then.

I can not fault the heavy vocals of Bury Tomorrow but I feel the cleans previously have always slowed down the pace of every song so I like the heavy vocals over the top on this track.
Definitely a step up this whole album, less tracks than usual and I think that is a plus.

Last Light and Earthbound are their best tracks to date it just takes a few listens to notice this isn't like every other song they have done. Honestly this didn't stand out the first time I heard it.
