Good old Hall of fam
|
| |
Typo tho
|
| |
I inducted my homie, Andre, into my hall of fam. Love you brother!
|
| |
Its fam y'all.
|
| |
Deep Purple in here is like the Netherlands in FIFA world cups
|
| |
their first couple records are good
|
| |
snide bro youve prob only heard if u leave me now shut ur ass
|
| |
One for me and one for my hall of fam.
|
| |
69-73 Chicago is awesome guys what the hell. Still Purple and Yes should be leading
|
| |
I voted for Nine Inch Nails 20 times already. They've been nominated every year since they've been eligible. Plus they're just amazing. They deserve to be leading, but these polls don't really mean much, as NIN got the 2nd highest amount of votes last year.
The hall of fam.
|
| |
Nine inch nails for me.
|
| |
"Why is Chicago leading votes right now? They're terrible."
smh
|
| |
their early stuff is fantastic
|
| |
Snide loves BVB and Avenged Sevenfold, u can't blame him
|
| |
I think it's more because Snide's probably only heard the soft-cock Chicago of later years than his questionable taste
|
| |
I hope it's that..
|
| |
it's so criminal that Yes and Deep Purple aren't in it yet.
|
| |
nine inch nails lolllllllllll
-torts
|
| |
I just realized the title says Hall of fam instead of Hall of fame
|
| |
i like the los lobos nom but of all la bands where the hell is X? and with billy zoom having cancer and being 67 he is likely to drop dead before he sees the hall. i hate the hall for this, such a sham
bunch of east coast elitist
|
| |
Voted Deep Purple, Smiths, Yes, The Cars, and Nine Inch Nails.
|
| |
NIN got my vote. Why the hell are Janet and NWA on this?
|
| |
affirmative action
|
| |
The Cars and NWA get my vote.
|
| |
"NIN got my vote. Why the hell are Janet and NWA on this?"
Same reason Grandmaster Flash is on it
|
| |
wtf is nwa doing on the list
|
| |
i dont know why people still take the hall of fame seriously
|
| |
yea its pretty goofy if u ask me
|
| |
NIN deserve it
|
| |
This is actually a decent list of inductees. It's about damn time that Yes and Deep Purple got in, and I'm very glad to see the Smiths get in.
|
| |
Yes and Deep Purple are long overdue
|
| |
It says fam because fame wouldn't fit.
This voting process is honestly total bullshit. Last year, Nine Inch Nails (NWA and Smiths were also nominated last year) were the 2nd highest voted band. Nine Inch Nails didn't get in that year.
Hopefully they'll get in, but the cars and yes also have my vote. That being said, NIN is better than both.
|
| |
You can edit and make it longer you know.
|
| |
Or just type '16.
|
| |
lol at NIN being better than Yes
|
| |
NIN are pretty important
|
| |
'Yes and Deep Purple are long overdue'
such a disgrace, but hey, at least Rush will be voting for them
|
| |
Does it even matter lll
|
| |
@Trebor agreed, one of the most important of the last 25 or so years
|
| |
Hurt was on Rick and Morty
|
| |
nin is garbage
|
| |
rock n roll hall of fam ?
moar like the official dadrock showcase!! --
|
| |
They're important, and a great band (even though if I'm not a fan of them) but Yes really should be inducted first, way more influential and way older
|
| |
I like Nine Inch Nails way more than I like Yes, but I can guarantee that Yes will be inducted.
I like the Cars, but I'm not sure if they'll get in. They didn't really do that much to influence music, but their first couple of albums were great.
Does anyone else think it's about time for either Boston or the Cure to get in? (Two totally different bands but they're both worthy of a mention)
|
| |
Iron Maiden and Judas Priest or bust.
|
| |
boston + cure [2]
|
| |
Voting for Yes. N.W.A isn't rock, I'm confused...
|
| |
deep purple and yes lol......can't believe these bands aren't already in......they need to rename the damn place because it's label is deceiving
|
| |
it's nice to see Yes make it in, but now we lack Judas Priest and King Crimson
|
| |
Boston + Cure [3]
I really hope Chaka Khan doesn't get in...
|
| |
Yes and Deep Purple aren't already in? What? They were both popular as fuck in their day... Roundabout, I've Seen All Good People, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Smoke on the Water, Space Truckin', Hush...
|
| |
cheap trick gross...
|
| |
"Voting for Yes. N.W.A isn't rock, I'm confused..."
I see you're new around here.
|
| |
ohh janet is on this nice
|
| |
Janet Jackson is leading and NIN is trailing 3rd-to-last. What the fuck...
(I voted for NIN and Deep Purple btw)
|
| |
swee
|
| |
Yes, Steve Miller, DP, Cars
|
| |
Chicago, it's about time.
|
| |
i did cars
chic
los lobos
nwa

|
| |
Deep Purple aren't already in it?
|
| |
Deep Purple
Yes
N.W.A.
The J.B.'s
The Smiths
Gonna be fun to see how Deep Purple react if they finally enter the Hall of Shame and are invited there.
|
| |
Since Blackmore's willing to go back to rock... who knows... a man can dream
|
| |
I think Blackmore has said in the past that he's not going to attend. Hope the rest of the band snubs the stupid thing as well tbh.
|
| |
Can I vote for flava flav again?
|
| |
if creative and artistic accomplishment is considered los lobos is most likely the most accomplished artists of the bunch, and sort of have a timeless rock 'n roll style, too. but if fame and popularity is all that counts, welp, it could be tough. otherwise the band stands tall and has been influential to other artists, as well
|
| |
Nine Inch Nails has the least amount of votes...Yes and Deep Purple deserve placement more, but give some respect to the industrial gods too.
|
| |
fuck this
|
| |
hall of lame
|
| |
When they're eligible.
|
| |
Hopefully they'll be well forgotten by then.
|
| |
If Yes, Deep Purple, Nine Inch Nails, and the Smiths aren't even in yet, I doubt Death Grips will ever be. But you never know
|
| |
lol people still complain about non-rock artists getting in the rock hall as if Johnny Cash and Miles Davis weren't in long before any hip-hop act (and it's been almost a decade since the first one of those got in).
|
| |
Honestly thinking Morrissey is going to pull a Johnny Rotten on this
|
| |
There is nothing "rock and roll" about NWA at all. The fact that they're even suggested discredits the entire organization. Don't take this shit seriously. All it is, is a marketing ploy.
|
| |
Thanks old white dude!
|
| |
Grandmaster Flash is already in the Hall of Fame so how's NWA really going to make a difference ?
|
| |
LT be like
http://i.imgur.com/2Z1hazS.png
|
| |
Induct, YES, Chicago and Purple.
|
| |
"Grandmaster Flash is already in the Hall of Fame so how's NWA really going to make a difference ?"
It's not going to make a difference, it's just stupid haha
|
| |
I want to see Lana cover "Closer" at the induction ceremony.
|
| |
Johnny Cash is an original Rock artist, like Elvis or Jerry Lee Lewis, and Miles was as pop in the 60's as a jazz musician can get with his Jazz rock fusion, The Dead open for him once at the Fillmore, so whoever said that had no point, and The Beasty Boys are in so...
I would say the ROCK hall should be like "music" or popular music, that's what it seems to be, but Christ there are some shitty acts in there
|
| |
No Steve Miller love? You disappoint me sputnik.
|
| |
Voted Deep Purple, Yes, NIN, Steve Miller, and The Smiths.
I wish I could vote for Purple five times.
|
| |
Johnny Cash is an original Rock artist, like Elvis or Jerry Lee Lewis,
No he isn't.
and Miles was as pop in the 60's as a jazz musician can get with his Jazz rock fusion,
Which is not rock music...
The Dead open for him once at the Fillmore, so whoever said that had no point,
Genres are determined by one-time opening acts now?
and The Beasty Boys are in so...
So...?
I would say the ROCK hall should be like "music" or popular music, that's what it seems to be,
I agree, but Western Popular Music Hall of Fame doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.
|
| |
henchmanofsanta please define rock music for us
|
| |
Well I can tell you it's a separate genre from country, jazz fusion and pop without having to go into definitions at all!
|
| |
There's also soul, R&B and disco in the Hall. People just freak out about rappers.
|
| |
I imagine in 10 years Skrillex is going to be nominated for the Hall of Fame
|
| |
nine inch nails is last place ;_;
|
| |
I imagine in 10 years Skrillex is going to be nominated for the Hall of Fame
Lucky for you, he won't even be eligible until 2035.
