There goes Spencer's voice.
| | | 2015 best year ever confirmed
| | | HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
| | | So much for being able to say I went to their last show ever
| | | at least they'll be in Boston which is nice I guess. About an hour-and-a-half drive for me.
| | | no wisconsin shocker
| | | "April 13th, Wed: Agora Theater, Cleveland, OH"
YESSSSSSS
| | | Pretty cool.
I have fond memories of them.
| | | NEW ALBUM PLS
| | | damn what i would give for a lost in the sound of separation tour instead
| | | Sweet. They were my first show in Nashville 10 years ago on the DTGL tour.
| | | Nice, I'm gonna catch the Cleveland show
| | | Toondude, you live in MA? I live about the same distance from Boston as well.
| | | welp that lasted long enough
| | | @FitToSwing CT actually
| | | Ah, makes sense. I'm like 30 minutes north of Worcester, on the border of NH. Similar drive to Boston. Definitely going to see them next year if I can.
| | | and yet snoxall u didn't even have to comment
| | | if the site doesn't meet the comment quota the ad sponsors will pull out. we all have to do our part.
| | | 2 albums performed back to back? Man, that's gonna fuckin hurt
| | | Both albums combined are a little over an hour and twenty-two minutes, and there's at least a couple just ambienty instrumental tracks.
| | | "Didn't this band make a big deal about breaking up like a year ago or something? What's the point of doing a huge WE'RE BREAKING UP hoopla if you're just gonna tour 300-600 days later.
how about stick to your guns and break up for a decade before reuniting"
If you watch their documentary, you'll see that they kind of instantly regretted officially calling it a breakup. What they really should've done was go on a hiatus. I think I read an interview with Spencer and Aaron stating that they're probably gonna leave it open now. They'll play these shows, see how it goes. They might even end up doing another album or some sort of new material. They said they're not ruling anything out just yet.
| | | Either way, I'm stoked. Gonna head up to Michigan to see them in Grand Rapids on April 9th. It's 2 days before my birthday, so really awesome timing.
| | | Wooooohoooo! I'll be at the seattle show!
| | | Oh, Cleveland is on the list. Thank the heavens.
| | | Ill consider cleveland maybe
| | | i cant wait, vegas is going to be nuts
| | | see you guys at new york
| | | 4/20, i'm in
| | | Got my ticket immediately after seeing this. Will be bingelistening to these records for the next seven months.
| | | Come to Australia
| | | NEW ALBUM PLS [2]
| | | Reunion? Excellent! But bringing back Aaron Gillespie instead of Daniel Davison? Whoops. I mean, just my opinion but Daniel is a much more seasoned player and seemed to fit the dynamic of this band better. Disambiguation was their best record, by far. I get they're doing Define/TOCS in full and it's a nostalgia thing probably, but still. I am slightly disappointed.
| | | I STARE AT THE WALL! WATCHING MY TIME FLOAT AWAY! IT'S ALL BEEN A BLUR! AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE!
Oh, wait... not playing... goddammit.
| | | Disambiguation was their best record, by far.
Boy be talkin' crazy talk.

THIS
| | | plsplsplsplsplsPLS make a new album
| | | Aaron was a cornerstone of the band for over a decade, Davison was great but Aaron is a pivotal part of the band and their past songs.
| | | Why the fuck are they playing in san bernadino but not LA
| | | So happy they reunited. Will being see them in SB.

I think DD in UO was a unique time and should be seen as such by the fact that even when talking just about Self Help they mentioned playing all of DTGL and possibly songs from the album before and the one after, leaving Changing and Disambiguation out of the mix since the lineup was not the same. It wasn't until Disambiguation was released that LITSOS became my favorite album because they encased the dynamics of Aaron's cleans with the brutality that we saw next on Disambiguation.
This leads me to believe that, although years apart could change how they would want to sound now, new UO would in some way pick up where LITSOS left off. Also, Aaron's work on LITSOS amazes me as a drummer for the reason that it's some of his most techincal work while still mixing in a respectable contribution vocally and I'm willing to trade Davidson's superior technicality for that if we were blessed with another UO album.. So unless Spencer insists on singing like in Sleepwave (which I don't believe since it essentially flopped) I really think new UO material will defy radio friendly post hardcore yet again just like we've always loved it for. And lets face it, even if they do lean in a mellower direction there's no way it loses their edge with Aaron back in the mix.
It's still all speculative at this point but I've been waiting since my sister got her copy of Changing to see UO in concert so speculate I shall.
| | | Cause they'll be at Self Help, Trebor. I mean, at least it's not too far from LA.
| | | is that a world tour or their girl's tour?
| | | Fuck yeah, definitely going to the Charlotte show for sure.
| | | Hope they do an EU tour as well, fingers crossed.
| | | There's got to be something new on the horizon. They said that they weren't sure if they were going to do more than that on date in CA only a week ago, and now we get a full US tour. Suspicion intensified.
| | | Gonna be epic
| | | Hmm, maybe now would be a good time to start listening to these guys. I've been meaning to, but just never got around to it. Any recommendations on where to start?

| | | May or may not travel great distances to experience this.
| | | lots of cleveland love on here
| | | @3waycrash
listen to "Define the Great Line" and "Lost In the Sound of Separation" those 2 records are great and the pinnacle of Underoath.
| | | Disambiguation is just as good tbh, DTGL has the most nostalgia for me though.
| | | Yeah disambiguation is great, it's just missing the catchy parts their past albums had.
| | | first show already sold out
| | | Looks like I'm going to Orlando
| | | Ho-ho, i've got some tickets for Chicago concert! Actually they were sold out already, but i've found some here http://www.underoathconcerttickets.com THANK YOU much ^^
