”We wrote this over nine days in virtual isolation at a farm on an ancient, deserted lava field in Western Iceland,” explain the band. “With little more than a store of Icelandic booze, some duty free sweets and a few horses for company. Stealing ideas from a borrowed book on Icelandic Legends, we threw together these ten songs. It was exhausting.
Our shows and media coverage have always woven around Holy Roar bands and we have a lot of respect for the label, so we offered the results to HR and they decided, with a bit of arm bending, to put the album out. We all believe it to be our best, most interesting work to date.”

The album is incredible. Extremely happy with it - Also depressed that these are likely the last songs we hear from them. Ending on Gods was a high note...this is wven better in my opinion.
|
| |
im really enjoying it so far, feeling a 4.5.
im a massive fan of this band, reviewed disastercore and robotcore, probably gonna start working on a review for this
|
| |
id love for you to check this out but your standards are so different to mine that i doubt you will like it
|
| |
not sure how short it is tbh seems like their longest release at the moment
|
| |
AYYYYYYYYY
(kill yourself)
|
| |
Dat clean parts... Best jazz 2015
|
| |
Super stoked to jam this. Been listening to gods and tyrant a lot since that last article turned me onto them.
|
| |
@ comatorium have you checked disastercore yet?
|
| |
In passing, but I dug Gods a LOT, and read Tyrant was good so I've been jamming those getting ready for the new one.
|
| |
Really really good! Looking forward to the vinyl.
|
| |
"Your lucky God"
You're
But this actually sounds pretty good
|
| |
@ Comatorium.
Awesome! Glad to hear it
@ Fieryfenderz
Woops! Not sure how that happened as I copy pasted the title. Thanks.
|

|

I know something that will impress u boy.....one plane flight to aus is all thats stopping me
And fair enough, didnt expect you to love this
|
| |
strange, i would never describe something in that rating range as "solid"
|
| |
ah im a lot more lenient tbh
dont put a lot of thought into my ratings tbh, anything lower than a 4 usually means good but i wouldnt bother listening to again any time soon
|
| |
do you rate things after one listen because i never used to but now i always do
|
| |
yeah i used to be like that for like the first year, then i realised i really didnt care enough and enjoyed music way more when i took it all less seriousoly and more casually, got my ratings wiped and just started again
|
| |
@ Mort.
Hahaha, god damn it, what is wrong with me?
|
| |
probably the unholy combination of robotics and magic has messed you up
|
| |
as sexy as I imagined
|
| |
Now for sale at the Holy Roar Records online store and streaming on Spotify.
|
| |
sweet, i was waiting for them to get on spotify
might bang out a quick review for this this weekend, try and get it featured
|
| |
Nice, I'll be interested to hear your thoughts/get some more people into these guys.
|
| |
i mean ive already reviewed them twice, probs my current fav post hardcore band so im gonna be saying the same stuff about them, just a bit more specific to this album
gonna have to listen to this a few more times tho, only heard it once in full
|
| |
I think it was probably clicking Down I Go as a related artist and reading your reviews that got me into them. I'm interested in your thoughts on this able itself - it has some much softer songs than I'm jsed to hearing. Still great though, it fits with what they are doing.
|
| |
yeah its very "down i go" still, but theyve managed to keep things fresh with a unique take
this has probably some of their catchiest tracks
|
| |
the slaying of skeggi is skullfuckingly heavy
