Northlane debut first material from new album

2015-06-26 by InFiction | 31 Comments
Leading up to the release of their highly anticipated third full-length Node, Sydney metalcore band Northlane split up the pieces to a new song entitled 'Leech' and posted them on various social networking sites for the community to find and assemble.

In less than a day, the puzzle was solved with thanks to fans and other associated acts such as Byron Bay contemporaries In Hearts Wake. Hooray for teamwork!

The band are currently working on a music video for the song, but in the meantime, listen to 'Leech' here:

Pretty decent. Definitely a lot better than the other songs they've released so far.

What the fuck this is total shit. When good metalcore exists like Curl up and Die or something why would you ever listen to this garbage.

I don't know which mod changed my title but they sure butchered that one. This is like the third song they've previewed.

I think it's decent - much better than Obelisk.

The old vocalist was p bad live. He really started fucking up his vocals towards the end.

Apparently the guitars will sound alot better uncompressed so i'll just wait till release to judge fully

never been good, never will be, should just re-reproduce hollow existance and go heavy and thrashier.

Honestly sounds like a less impressive, djenty version of latter day Haste the Day (except HtD has good screams).

'Hey it's like they've taken what set them apart from other bands in the scene and pissed it all down the toilet'

thats what bothers me about their new songs. They went from songs like Exposure, Transcending Dimensions, Shook Hands with Death, to trash like Rot and this. Everything that made them a fun band is now gone.
