Refused are fucking dead
| |
ewwww
| |
no comment
| |
If anyone stands up for this like they did for the first single, they're either an idiot or deaf, because this is fucking terrible.
| |
Blows
| |
So the whole song?
| |
damn is it really that bad
edit: it's really that bad
| |
Refused why, just stop before you shit on your legacy even more.
| |
Well, you missed the joke
| |
Yep this is bad
| |
I liked Elektra alright, it was halfway decent. But oh jesus christ what is this Power pop bullshit
| |
Elektra wasn't too shabby but this song is so, so damn bland
| |
Elektra was the first thing I had heard from these guys (I know, I do need to get around to listening TSOPTC). Anyway, this sounds stupid, and I thought Elektra sounded good, but between the overproduced drums, the silly and downright stupid lyrics, this is pretty bad. Hope the rest of the album will be better.
| |
refused is going straight up Save Rock N Roll w/ this new album
| |
aren't these guys supposed to be like a hardcore band or something? 'cause this just sounds way too poppy to sound anything like TSOPTC
| |
The Shape Of Aging To Come
| |
really fucking bad
| |
never enjoyed Refused and this just puts the nail in the coffin
| |
lol y'all are fucking dumb
| |
what u think this is good or sumthin
| |
he's a Dippelshit
| |
that's just odd.
but eh, idk i'm drunk, but i didn't hate it.
| |
Comatorium, I think you're a cool guy and all, but this is utter shit.
| |
Its gonna make me sad if i agree with you guys when im sober
| |
don't call me when you're sober
| |
i mean i'm rarely sober.
sometimes i'm not drunk.
but i'm usually stoned.
so.
| |
also who are you
| |
to be fair, they did a song like this once in the past: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr6IbElMCik
| |
@Comatorium. just some guest
| |
also who are you
can't remember? time to dry up boy
| |
stupid song, but im sure it will find its audience
| |
1:40-1:48 is a good part, but that's how far I was able to tolerate this song.
| |
Would love to defend this b/c SoPtC is a hard classic, but this is just a poor effort.
| |
humm it, sucks
| |
horrible
| |
What the hell is this...why.
| |
Oh wow.
Wasn't expecting that.
shame
| |
this is hilarious!
| |
Fucking terrible!!
| |
Geez, do I feel stupid now for getting all exited about their comeback.
They'd rather be dead.
| |
I think it's decent
| |
Nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. Still pretty goddamn average though.
| |
@SharkTooth they're more art-punk than anything. Also I like the song.
| |
What the fuck was that.
| |
That was pretty shit and I enjoyed the first single.
| |
oof
| |
i think the track is not that bad, it is just odd. there are some great parts like the one with trumpets or whatever it is. but at the same time there are parts like MURDER MURDER MURDER KILL KILL EXTERMINATE THE BRUTES which are pretty unnecessary.
The first single was cool, maybe this track will sound better in the context of the album.
| |
Who wrote this? A 16 year old?
| |
Wow this is so incredibly different for them. I found the song to be quite poor until the 2:50 mark. After that the song was really quite good.
| |
Wah wah wah it doesn't sound like Refused!
Honestly guys, nice to hear them try something new instead of recycling shit from years ago.
| |
well at least the "shit from years ago" was something truly special
| |
The song is decent but it's not god awful like you are all making out.
If Refused didn't release this song and it was a random band it wouldn't get slated half as much.
| |
if it was just a random band who made this absolutely one would care about it
| |
Yeah its just dissapointingly meh and un-refused
| |
Not what I was expecting at all. I guess it's just ok...
| |
It's not really though is it, TSOPTC will always be seen as a classic no matter what they put out.
| |
As in leave the argument or present it?
| |
This an alright song.
| |
Well I guess it helps I'm not a huge Refused fanboy so will never find it as disappointing as others regardless.
| |
< 3
| |
It's growing on me, I dig it.
| |
It's all a conspiracy to cool of the mad hype there was for the new record, so they can blow it out the water with the best record ever obviously
| |
I wasn't expecting this, the last single looks amazing next to this.
| |
I see some people crying that this doesn't sound like refused and some people defending the band for doing something new and calling shenanigans on everyone for judging the song based on their career.
I'm over here like, I don't give a fuck when or why this was made or who wrote this song, but it blows HARD.
| |
of course we're complaining about how this doesn't compare in any way to their 90s stuff. it's the band who made the shape of punk to come we're talking about
| |
It's like when a band as amazing as Pearl Jam putting out one bad song late in their career because stuff like hat NEVER happens wait
| |
Im sober and i still dig this. fuck you all.
| |
speechless
| |
Noise Conspiracy and INVSN didn't sell, so Dennis just renamed them to Refused
| |
"If Refused didn't release this song and it was a random band it wouldn't get slated half as much."
this sounds like fall out boy tbh
| |
are you joking?
| |
nope.
| |
... right
| |
I can see the comparison, this just has some forced angst that FOB are too pussy to have.
| |
I feel like this song was almost good... If it weren't overproduced, it probably would've worked a lot better. And there's like 2 or 3 parts I don't like that recur... TSOPTC was an utter classic to me, redefining the way I view my own ambitions... I'm just gonna be optimistic and hope this leads them into making something better.
| |
um, i love this. i must be crazy, right? nah this is fucking awesome. Refused doing what they always did in a way different way, which is exactly what you should do after being gone for so long.
| |
speechless [2]
| |
"Love the way this builds up and how ambitious the production is. Music with a message is always a plus too. Great stuff here."
"The lyrics were all I needed to like this song."
"Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would after reading the comments. Love that intro riff too - cant wait for the tab. Both songs IMO have been super fun and upbeat which is cool. Different - hell ya but thats Refused. Im super glad they are not putting out The Shape of Punk 2 or whatever."
people on absolutepunk
| |
there's doing things in a different way that are awesome and then there's this
| |
proof that ab punk will love anything new even if it's garbage
like new fob
| |
The Shape of Pop to Come
| |
[2]
| |
this rules faqqots
| |
Judging by the above reaction, these are truly songs that fan the flames of discontent.
(I'm actually kind of disappointed that no one has made that pun in this entire thread)
| |
Song is absolutely killer in a live setting, so is Elektra. And 366 sounds like one of the heaviest things they've ever done.
| |
Nah
| |
It's alright I'm wrong sometimes too
| |
The best thing about Refused is that you can pretty much make a joke about how awful these new songs are with any of their album names.
