Meh
| |
I dig the new song. Are 3EB trying to reinvent alt rock and become popular again, prob not, but I appreciate they're still around making fun chill music.
| |
"classic pop-punkers" lol
| |
pop-punkers
nope
| |
song is pretty decent tho
| |
Actually kinda love the song. It's Third Eye Blind, so i don't really expect to hate it.
| |
Yea, the song is Ok... I mean sure, it's not as good as their older singles, but hey... it sounds like they're toning things down a bit which is understandable since they're getting older. i still like it for what it is.
| |
It's a fun summer rock song, the bass line sounds a lot like something The Cure would come up with.
| |
"the bass line sounds a lot like something The Cure would come up with."
I get that vibe a bit too, dies down too much when the vocals hit though (The Cure would have it be prominent throughout imo). Song is ok, album will be interesting.
| |
Not bad. These guys have always been safe, radio friendly pop-rock for light summer fare. I mean, their first album is a classic and has way more going for it than just that description, but everything after that and a few singles off the next album has just been toned down and pretty boring. Not bad, just boring.
| |
That was pretty boring; hopefully the rest of the album is much better
| |
Will check the new album just because 3EB but yeah can't say I'm hyped
| |
Pop punk? I don't even comprehend
| |
I'm digging it.
| |
They have always been pop rock. That saying the intelligent ones in the genre.
| |
meh I always threw these guys into the alternative lump
definitely not pop punk though
| |
How the hell is this pop punk??
Also, this ain't bad.
| |
tfw people still care about genre tags
| |
chorus definitely has a 'We Didn't Start the Fire' vibe to it
| |
Song has grown on me a lot.
| |
What's wrong with the first 20 seconds? The bass line is actually really good.
| |
I WISH YOU WOULD STEP BACK FROM THAT LEDGE MY FRIEND
| |
Semi-Charmed Life is the only thing I ever heared from this guys.
| |
you should change that
| |
Motorcycle Drive By, go listen to it now.
| |
Are they really that good? Thought they were just some one hit wonder back in the days.
| |
Their self titled record is my favorite record of all time. The singles from that record (Jumper, Semi-Charmed Life) are some of the weakest tracks on it. Check out Motorcycle Drive By, God Of Wine, How's It Going To Be, Graduate, I Want You, The Background...
| |
Yeah I can imagine this one being a classic from back then. Listening to it right now and it really throws you into the past somehow. But is everything after that record worth the time?
| |
I'm biased. I really enjoy Blue as well, although it's a step below and I still listen to Out of the Vein and Ursa Major. First record was a landslide record, Blue was fun and sold well, the last 2 are just fun alt rock records. Great summer music.
| |
Hm well maybe someday I'll have some time for it. Self-titled has definitely a lot of charme to it though.
| |
Self Titled is the ideal summer record for me. Starts off with a lot of energy, a lot of fun singles in the middle, and after a few drinks the last few songs hit you right in the gut. Perfect song to walk to class with or to play in the car with the windows down. The last 3 tracks on the album are amazing.
| |
Agreed. They totally came out of left field too because given how the rest of the album is, you wouldn't expect so much depth out of them. Absolutely love them, and unfortunately hold them to that standard every time they release an album... and they never quite deliver.
| |
This made me cringe.
| |
Yeah LOL I would def make some time for them. Those albums age very very well. I think I may even like them more now.
Man Stephen's vocals are so boring on this track, sounds like he's just going through the motions. I've listened to this song a few times now just trying to give it another chance and I dislike it more and more with each listen.
