Looking forward to this. New song is pretty great, so is the artwork.
|
| |
Pretty standard TSSF fare. Not a bad thing by any means but one feels that they could have pushed themselves a bit further. Still, looking forward to the album. What You Don't See is great.
|
| |
Song is good but this band really needs to evolve. What You Don't See had some killer material, but it all sounded exactly the same except "The Glass"
|
| |
This song has better songwriting than anything on the last one
|
| |
this band really needs to evolve [2]
|
| |
Sounds awesome. I can't wait for the new album!
|
| |
"they know exactly what audience they appeal to"
yeah, to sputnik people (apparently)
|
| |
Song is pretty good, although, kinda getting stale for me. But that artwork is great
|
| |
lol people still hype pop punk bands
|
| |
An inside source told me that Phantom is going to be a slower/Placeholder-ish song, and Kevin has no backing vocals on this record. I feel like there will definitely be more variety and 'evolving' from WYDS. Either way, this band has never put out anything I don't like (even their 2011 EP kicks ass). I can already tell this will be my summer soundtrack.
|
| |
"why would this band evolve?
they know exactly what audience they appeal to and wouldn't dare compromise that
and personally i prefer this to them doing a title fight and releasing some bullshit like hyperview"
[2]
Song rules, album will rule
|
| |
In my opinion it definitely sounds different from their previous stuff.
|
| |
how can you do pop punk without backing voxxx? :-[
|
| |
"In my opinion it definitely sounds different from their previous stuff."
in what way does this sound any different than any of their other songs
|
| |
What i meant to say is that Parker does all the backing vox on this now. Kev will probably still do them live, just not on this record. I also recall Kelen saying something about this record being a little more musically intuitive than previous releases.
|
| |
@Betray you can't tell me this song actually sounds like anything from US&D. It's pretty similar to WYDS songs, but it is nothing like their debut.
|
| |
oh I forgot that WYDS doesn't fall in the realm of "their previous stuff"
|
| |
This sounds slightly different than the last two albums but still kicks ass. Really excited for the LP
|
| |
i wish that they would release a song that would actually seem out of place being chucked somewhere in USAD
|
| |
"why would this band evolve?
they know exactly what audience they appeal to and wouldn't dare compromise that
and personally i prefer this to them doing a title fight and releasing some bullshit like hyperview
but that's just me"
holy shit mall we agree on something
digging the fuck out of this song but this is one of those bands that will likely never do wrong in my eyes
|
| |
I dig this, though I do admit the song reminded me a fair bit of The Glass. On the other hand I really enjoyed their last record so this should not disappoint.
|
| |
The only song I've ever heard from them is "empty space" (I think it was called that) and it was fun
|
| |
Yep, Empty Space. Listen to the album, one of the better pop punk LPs to come out of 2013.
|
| |
Great song, need to get in to this band more. Only jammed their albums a few time.
|
| |
mega excited for the album, song is mint
|
| |
It's just pop punk guys. Album will sound like TSSF, which is more than fine by me. No soft-grunge, sparkle-twinkle-basement emo revival flange fest pls.
|
| |
i'm usually for bands evolving and expanding on their sound but tssf is too good at pop punk to change. probably the only listenable one left tbh
song is good
|
| |
standard TSSF, but why would you compromise an already perfect sound? song is great, album will be ace.
|
| |
You can evolve without 'compromising your sound.' TSSF songs are ridiculously homogenous even for punk-pop. No variety in dynamics, songwriting, structure...nothing.
|
| |
Having said that, they're good for a few great songs per album, so I'll still listen to this
|
| |
you sound like you take this stuff too seriously
|
| |
I mean I am leaving a string of comments on a music forum so yeah probably
