Sweet, been waiting for an album with Floor
|
| |
she's pretty good yeah
|
| |
Exite!!!!
I hope floor was a good influence and jukkas departure didn't harm their overall quality
|
| |
Well, on the videos you can see him playing some parts. I think he's written the drum parts and someone else performed. Don't actually know what's happened.
|
| |
I read somewhere that this is supposed to be really good. I'm not a big fan of Nightwish but I enjoy Floor's vocals so I'm curious about the new LP.
|
| |
It could be their best album, their line up is stellar.
|
| |
did floor permanently leave after forever?
also this looks interesting, cheesy song titles and all
|
| |
Floor's live performace is amazing. Looking forward to this.
|
| |
After forever is dead a far as I know
|
| |
true, their last album was in 08 I think. good to see a band finally making use of floor's talents
|
| |
They said this was gonna have their longest song yet
Cheesy title as usual
|
| |
Yessss, can't wait.
|
| |
Bring it on! The song titles are even cheesier than before, but whatever, the music matters. Thids should be dope as hell mayne, Once is still ballin', and their songwriting has been top notch even after that, just the vocals haven't been optimal. Anette was alright, but Floor should make this one straight bitchin'
|
| |
^this
|
| |
lol this band
|
| |
They're good, I know right?
|
| |
cover looks shitty unfortunately
|
| |
After Imaginaerum and Music Inspired By The Life And Times Of Scrooge, Tuomas seems to be standing tall again. Nightwish are in excellent form again after Once, with members who actually bring things to the band. Both Floor and the other good guy, the piper, seem to be very good at what they're doing. The songs are cheesy and the cover art is weird but not optimal, but still, if the rumor has it's their best yet, who am I to go against the grain?
|
| |
Imaginaerum was bad but it was encouraging. I'm not entirely sure what to expect, especially with Floor taking centre stage but I'm excited to see what they can produce
|
| |
Will check this.
|
| |
@ChoccyPhilly I would never call it bad. I prefer it ten times more than Dark Passion Play. It's the best post-Tarja era album. I hope this new one changes that. Also, the movie was nothing spectacular in terms of acting or anything, but it was nice to see something different musically and thematically. I believe it was a nice combination of commercial and thought-provoking ideas (with the first ones being in the center oc). I've seen it twice and enjoyed it both times.
|
| |
I remember this band coming across as very cheesy when I was in high school.
|
| |
Man, I like Dark Passion Play
|
| |
Floor is the only reason I'm gonna check this out, hope she rubs off on thier songwriting.
|
| |
Imaginaerum is the only album i've not got along with, still i'm cautiously optimistic.
|
| |
floor won't have an remarkable effect on their songwriting. but holopainen is a genius imo so its nothing to be fearful of.
|
| |
If the cover was blue/black with some gold, it would be better.
|
| |
^ new nightwish cover artist confirmed
|
| |
Their last lp was my first review and I wasn't too kind. But then I saw them live. It somehow worked.
|
| |
last album had like 5 fantastic songs and the others where pretty mediocre or straight up shitty
|
| |
FYI Nightwish wanted me to draw their next album's cover. Also, I found fantastic songs, some mediocre and one useless.
|
| |
The band has grown off me a lot over the years (not to say their recent albums aren't good; in fact I like
them better than most of their completely overblown, MIDI-driven pre-Once stuff), but this just seems like a
very solid and focused album. I'm also hoping to hear a stronger prog influence here; it just sounds like
they're heading towards that since Once. Hearing Troy Donockley's input might be interesting too.
|
| |
I'm excited
Sadly song titles are cheesier than before
Still band is legit as fuck
|
| |
At least the album's title is quite good, especially in the context of the Darwin quote from which they took
it.
|
| |
this band transcends cheese
can't wait
|
| |
You believe it's going to be cheesy. It seems like it's going to be cheesy. But don't let them fool you. It really is going to be cheesy.
Cheesy as fuck actually.Shudder before the Beautiful? Endless Forms Most Beautiful? For real now?
But that's why I like them, because of their cheesy, extravagant, fairyail-ish, imaginative character! And yes, a proggy approach would be excellent. Aw, what do I know I'm a prog die hard groupie.
|
| |
who isn't
|
| |
Excited !!
After 2 meh... albums , I hope the new one with Floor will rock !
|
| |
who isn't indeed.
|
| |

|
| |
well there's a 24 minute song on the next one
still wish they'd release a song by now
|
| |
Definitely gonna rule.
Well not definitely.
But it will.
|
| |
*might
|
| |
Hope for the best
Prepare for the worst
|
| |
I never had very high expectations for a Nightwish album, but it would still be a real disappointment if
this one wasn't their best in years; everything's just pointing towards that. Or except maybe for the song
titles
|
| |
How many different vocalists has this band had again?
|
| |
It's 80 mins. That's got me worried.
|
| |
man that single isn't that great =(
|
| |
@Underflow there was Tuomas, their first bassist and Tarja. Then there was Tarja and Marco. Then there was the piece of shit and Marco. Now there's Marco and Floor Jansen.
|
| |
Flugmorph, where did you listen to it? Ordered, downloaded or online?
|
| |
ordered it online. its out today in europe
|
| |
Okay, thanks, because I searched for it on YT and couldn't find it.
