Good shit, motherfucker.
| |
fuck yea
| |
A little better than I thought it would turn out. Really liking Mike Patton's vocals here.
| |
Pretty sweet
| |
Fair warning, the name of this article will be used as my summary for when I review this.
| |

| |
Pretty eh on it, tbh, maybe it'll grow though.

| |
one of those bands that no one knows what the album is gonna sound like from one song, and that's exciting.
| |
That was okay. Hopefully this isn't the biggest highlight.
| |
The hype is real.
| |
Yeah, this is awesome.
| |
Holy shit. This rules. Sounds so much better than the live version.
| |
Only drawback is the sort of repetitive lyrics, but it's not too bad.
| |
This song is all kinds of awesome
| |
wtf
song's boring as shit barely anything even happens
new fnm/patton though?!?!?? MUST BE 5/5/55/ EBSRT FSOONG OF THE YEAR WOW AOTY ALL YEARS AEVERY YEAR

Get on the motherfucking phone, Lloyd.
| |
Worth it just to hear that Chorus, rest is alright, 3.5 outta 5. Hopes still high.
| |
Tempest is just jealous he never got the motherfucker on the phone phone
| |
Pretty cool... this seems like a hype-building single, I highly doubt it'll be a highlight from the album.
| |
Yeah I was thinking this was quite hype building.
Superhero/Leader of Men seems like a better song but this is still pretty darn good, better then I thought it would be.
| |
best band ever
| |
This is awesome u guys are fucking insane
| |
This could have been an interesting song but it was really boring and didn't go anywhere.
| |
SURPRISE, MUTHAFUCKA
| |
my heroes!
| |
Only staff could get a headline like that on the main page :3
| |
mmmmm not bad! Got high hopes
| |
Geeeeet.....theeeeee.......motherFUCKER!~
| |
Garbage fuck this fuckhead and his random noises

I'm still waiting for the band to release a shitty album so I can say: "I used to have faith in them, but now...."
| |
patton still sounds amazing
| |
holy shit
| |
Did Sgt Dokes write this?
| |
FUCK YEAH!
| |
Interesting first taste...I'm intrigued

Cant get onboard with this. Im a massive patton fanboy but this is bang average
| |
Song's pretty fucking good
| |
I can dig it
| |
That was okay. Hopefully this isn't the biggest highlight. [123]
| |
and the award of best news title goes to
| |
Fuck yeah motherfucker.
| |
Great track
| |
FNM has been listening to Swans.
| |
I hear the influence I guess, difference is Patton can actually sing
| |
Really bland song.
| |
WRONG SIZE, MOTHERFUCKER!

| |
Surprise, motherbeeper
| |
Patton's still got it.
| |
Hope it's just a light warm-up to the whole thing. OK track, has little direction.
| |
Pretty nice song, although not too special in my opinion.
| |
"Did Sgt Dokes write this?"
i love whoever posted this
| |
Never thought there would be a new fatih no more before there is a new tool album out...
| |
neat
| |
Song is awesome.
| |
I'm curious as to how this track will fit into the whole album. Very excited! FNM's back!
| |
Oh boy, album will be a joy to listen to :]
| |
The song is decent and gives me hope for the quality of the album as a whole; however, I personally find over-reliance upon profanity to be distasteful in music. When half of a song is spent with the word "motherfucker" being repeated ad nauseum, the lyricism is severely undermined. When the word itself is the song's title, I lose interest.
This reeks of canned juvenile angst, opened well past its expiration date. I can see myself skipping this track if I ever buy the album.
| |
This song is shit. Sorry.
| |
decent. glad they're back.
| |
Hopefully new album doesn't sound like this.
| |
Patton sounds great but this is dull.
| |
I wish Patton did all of the vocals on this.
| |
I wish Patton did all of the vocals on this. [2]
| |
Best part of this the picture with the gimp suit.
| |
This song is just being released in time for Black Friday Record Store Day, of course it won't be a highlight. Bands never release album highlights for RSD vinyl records.
| |
#DoakesCore
| |
Definitely one of their more boring song, but sounds great nonetheless. Still hyped for the album.
| |
Brilliant track, I'd say.
| |
It rules agreed
| |
Like how can you not like those vocal overlays. I'm just fucking drooling.
| |
I don't get the complaints about it not going anywhere
The whole thing is a fuckin glorious build up to that riffing part
ugh this is a good indicator of things to come
| |
The more I listen to it I realize it is a modern day "Midlife Crisis". I mean Christ, that track is 22 years old. It needed an update, and it got one using profanity, narcissism, and opaqueness.
| |
It still sounds fresh today though
| |
It still sounds fresh today though
I wouldn't say fresh; I would say timeless. An infinite crisis, if you will.
| |
This is pretty reminiscent of Midlife Crisis, actually. Of course, it's not quite the same tier, but no one could've asked for that.
| |
Maybe not in production value, but as far as ideas and songwriting go, I think Angel Dust and King for a Day are still pretty well in the game
| |
EMILIA… 18th and 19th… 90 SECONDS, MOTHERFUCKER!
| |
This is growing pretty hard, sweet.
| |
Maybe not in production value, but as far as ideas and songwriting go, I think Angel Dust and King for a Day are still pretty well in the game
The Real Thing too. The cover of "War Pigs" still impresses me.
| |
The Real Thing is great but it's not as original or fun as the other three imo, War Pigs cover is the real deal though
| |
The Real Thing sits just below Angel Dust for me. Such a fun record.
| |
songs is definitely a grower
| |
lol at the people saying "i hope the album doesn't sound like this" you guys have clearly never listened to fnm
| |
This song is shite, pure and simple. So, I wouldn't want the album to sound like this because of that.
| |
I have never seen a thread so divided down the middle such as this one.
| |
hoping this is a joke or at least a far cast away from the rest of the album
| |
If I hadn't heard them before, or maybe even if I hadn't heard Bungle, I would probably hate this.
| |
this sucks.
| |
let's be honest this is kinda monotonous
the chord structure is something a 8 years old could come up with
the lyrics and the instrumentation are ok but nothing special
the song structure is the same a-b-a-b-solo... stuff that we heard million times
ironically I know some fans of this band who hate artists like Asking Alexandria and Attack Attack because they're "generic" and "primitive" (after all this song is so complex and original lol)
| |
agreed
| |
"something a 8 years old could come up with"
| |
lol
| |
Kinda agree
| |
probably my song of the year
think of it this way - faith no more hasn't released an album in 18 years. this is the group calling out the stagnant releases that stand for 'the best'
in fact, this should be linked into the yearly list right after flylo as we scramble to hold someone responsible for that travesty
| |
how did I miss wnba's comment here?
| |
wwba*
There's no n, just saying.

Yeah, I doubt he's that ugly, SharkTooth.

@Ars
I think you need this

Hey what do I know?
Some people get users names wrong. Like how everyone calls Hurricanslash, Hurricaneslash.
| |
Shut up, motherfuckers

Get the motherfucker on the phone, the phone.
| |
Getttttttttt the motheeeeeeeerrrrrrfuckerrrrrr
myyyyyy lovvvvvveeeeeeeeerrrrr
| |
This didn't really lower or raise my expectations. Chorus vocals sounded great, not really much to go off of here though.
| |
"Some people get users names wrong. Like how everyone calls Hurricanslash, Hurricaneslash."
wwba only consists of 4 letters dude. Do you really think anyone would get confused over 4 letters?
