FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
yeah
| |
Wow I was listening to Impulse as I saw this.
| |
I approve.
| |
As always, ERRA does it again!!
| |
Songs okay, the new vocalist will grow on me. Absolutely love the intro and outro. Beautiful.
| |
He sounds a lot like Gar so I'm not complaining.
| |
meh
| |
This so far is better than Augment, but still not Impulse-material.
| |
By the sounds of this, Sumerian will allow them to stay metal without the heavy use of electronics.
| |
i can dig it but the new dude has nothing on garrison, unfortunately
| |
Uh they have never really used electronics?
| |
solid
| |
This a solid fucking single.
"OH MOTHER, I CALL TO YOU!"
| |
new vocalist is the same fucking dude, basically. good stuff.
| |
Reminds a bit of Misery Signals.
| |
song ruuuuuules
| |
New singer sounds alright here but not live
| |
New vocalist doesn't seem to have much range at all, which is a serious bummer if you ask me. Thank god Jesse can pick up the slack.
I like the song, I like all Erra songs, but it's pretty underwhelming. The into and outro are great but the rest was kinda meh. I was hoping the shift in members would lead to some new sounds. I don't want Impulse part 3.
| |
I liked this. And i hate metalcore with high cleans. the lyrics are nice, albeit unimpressive.
| |
was decent and then the cleans came in. I don't understand why bands think that whinyness like that sounds good. It's fucking irritating and grating at most. Sorry, I just can't stand that stuff, my personal opinion.
| |
"I don't understand why bands think that whinyness like that sounds good."
Jesse's voice is, to a lot fans of the band, one of the biggest reasons to listen. I don't always love his melodies, but when he gets it right, I honestly think he can be the highlight of any given song. And considering how popular the band has become over the past few years, and how much bigger they will get with this record deal, I would say it's working for them.
| |
sounds exactly the same as everything from the last album...
| |
Sounds good and solid, while the new vocalist is okay I still prefer Garrison by a long mile.
| |

Guess his cleans are just not for me. I enjoy high pitched vocals but they never seem to pull me in with metalcore at all. As for the harsh vocals, I've never had an issue with them in this band.
| |
It's the erra erra 🐔
| |
new guy isn't as good as Garrison but this is still pretty great. Really enjoy this band.
| |
I'm loving it, wasn't sure what to expect with a new vocalist but there's almost no difference. Very good song.
| |
Sounds likes Impulse Pt II which isn't a bad thing i guess
| |
hope it didn't break.
| |
Augment was Impulse part 2 though
| |
New vocalist sounds a lot like Garrison. I hope that between the lineup changes and signing with Sumerian they don't change too much, they had a really good formula between Impulse and Augment.
| |
Doesn't sound like they will based off this.
| |
I didn't really love the screams, other than that this is a pretty great track.
| |
Did you dislike the old vocalist too? I still can't decide whether they lied about replacing him or not. Even his flow is identical.
| |
Garrison didn't write the flow (not sure about the lyrics either), Jesse did
| |
He screamed the lines, it's his flow. Jesse can't do the guys flow for him, he doesn't have mind powers dude.
| |
I mean if you say so. But I asked them at a show once how Garrison got his flow to be so unique, and Jesse said that he actually did most of the phrasing.
| |
Hmm I don't see how that's possible unless Jesse literally stands there and tells him how to do every single line. That's kinda sad.
| |
I think it's kind of like a rap song. Like you might have ghost writers and all who pre-record the song for you then you just go back and put your vocals/flair over it. And yeah, but I think it was kind of like a partnership to better establish the flow of the song (especially transitioning form cleans/to screams). I didn't take it as a "Jesse wrote it all" more of a, they sat down together, figured out a flow they liked and rolled with it. But I'm not them, so I don't really know exactly what went on. But it'd explain the similarity in flow between the two screamers.
| |
That would explain it yeah, this guy not only sounds almost identical but his patterns seem so similar it can't be a coincidence.
| |
really want these guys to change up their sound a bit. Just evolve... a bit... all im asking.
| |
Love this track
| |
I'm always going to miss Garrison but this new guy has it nailed. The song was above average but I'm sure the EP is gonna be great.
| |
It's probably the best thing that they could do after the lineup changes. The new vocalist is good and he gets the job done, but he's not nearly as good as Garrison (much like "Earth"-era Elitist, his tone is a tad too husky to keep up with the brisk pace of the song). The guitarwork is not as textured as it was with Alan, and it feels remarkably one-dimensional as a result. Overall, a pretty good song, though. Super catchy.
I miss Garrison and Alan, but the song's decent.
| |
Nobody even noticed
| |
I really didn't notice anything drastically different about this. Honestly it does remotely sound like they had any lineup changes.
| |
i talked to the guitarist of this band after they played and he sounded like he wanted to be anywhere else
at least the band sounded pretty good onstage
| |
song is kinda boring overall but the intro/outro parts are so beautiful
i've heard this ep once and there are better songs than this on it so i'm still stoked
| |
How have you heard it, it hasn't released?
| |
i got the hookup clearly
| |
I doubt that.
Share it or leave
| |
alex (their drummer) showed me pretty much all of it like a month ago tbh
| |
Steal it and upload it online immediately
| |
Kinda just hoping for Jesse to run full time with Ghost Atlas tbh
| |
if there are better songs than this off the new EP then im good. this song is pretty standard erra... not bad, not stellar either. some interesting parts but overall nothing really makes it stand out as a whole
| |
Programmed pianos and drums. Gtfo
| |
If you can tell the difference, good for you. I really couldn't care less.
| |
i can tell the difference and i dont really mind. sounds fine and you can still appreciate the writing. that never changes.
| |
cool.
| |
Consumer of my nuts more like. Stop being an ass.
| |
Or you can have your own brain instead of only listening to everyone else?
| |
Like, ok. This isn't THAT BAD. But it just seems like a really random thing for SO MANY PEOPLE to have positive feedback on. Djenty metalcore band with some riffs and atmospheric parts. Whatever, I guess. I like the harsh vocals.
| |
edgy
| |
If you can't tell the differences between the vocalists, I would suggest developing your ears. In this case though, your
ignorance may be bliss. This new dude, while good, is clearly trying to emulate their previous vocalist. Problem is, he simply
is not as talented. This song really depleted, the already waning, interest I had in the band.
| |
Still hoping these guys drop something similar to Andromeda. Just crazy ass shreddy riffs.
| |
Pretty good, apart from the intro.
| |
There's actually a sizable difference between the two vocalists. The last guy had range, the new guy does not. Why did he leave the band, anyway?
| |
He got a full time job.
| |
Nice track. I love the intro. Sounds like they're not planning to change their musical style, but that's good.
| |
could be the effects or layering but the new vocalist sounds almost exactly like the old guy, just with slightly deeper lows. but yeah his range isn't quite as stellar.
| |
Good song. Appreciate how after several releases they're still focused on their own sound and not straying from it much.
| |
And also balls
| |
Wow i'm glad this band inspires this much discussion
super proud of these guys, they're from only a couple hours away
| |
im not sure what i want from the next release but i hope it's good
| |
It'll be like this, they won't change much
| |
theyre going to get massive, it was always meant to be
| |
the new album better have exceptional song writing otherwise i'll probably get bored of it fast.
if they have 3 highly similar albums there's not gonna be much incentive to listen to the new one for longer than a month
