Billy Talent's greatest hits
2014-09-01 by Sabrutin | 36 Comments
After a little teasing through their Facebook page and their website, Billy Talent announced a Greatest Hits
compilation that will be released soon, containing also two new songs.

Some fans asked if the band is going to disband, and their question was answered with the following:

"So we seem to have caused some confusion with us releasing a Greatest Hits record, so I’m here to clarify a
few things. WE ARE NOT BREAKING UP!!! Haha…this is not the end of Billy Talent, and in all honesty it’s quite
the opposite! In our minds, the Greatest Hits is more of a celebration of the songs we released over the years for
our loyal fans to reminisce over, and hopefully to make new fans who maybe have never heard of us. There’s
going to be a ton of cool things to go along with it that I think people are going to enjoy. As for the two new songs,
you don’t have to buy the record to get the new songs so please don’t think we’d ever do something like that. We
just thought it would be a nice way to show the beginning of our career to where we are at now by releasing a
couple new ones. Which by the way, are really cool and very special and I hope that you dig em. Finally, we are
knee deep working on songs for our new record and let me tell you…it’s going to be kick ass! We have no
timelines as of yet, but we are working diligently on it and it’s going better than we could have ever imagined."

It's still possible to take a look at the teaser by visiting their website and turning on the television before entering
the main site.

People wrote comments like "A greatest hit.... Most of the time not all the time but greatest hit meant retirement from music career just I hope this won't be the case" so yeah they wrote that wall of text for that.

These guys are almost as nostalgic as Breaking Benjamin for me, and they still rock.

Surrender ;-;

That's awesome! Maybe it's the USA where they haven't caught on as much.

Kind of like The Tea Party - Americans usually have no idea who they are, but they were superstars in
Australia. (allegedly)

As far as bands go with this type od sound they do a hell of a lot better than most.

Here is Italy. No surprise, agreed, but this compilation announce was online for days and nobody made an article, so I thought that nobody cared.

Never understood the hate for III. It's darker, emotional and still has some big rockers.
