Tampa FL death metal veterans Obituary have posted a brand new track at their official Bandcamp location, and at the official YouTube channel of Relapse Records.

The track is titled "Visions In My Head" and it's been taken from the band's upcoming, 9th album Inked In Blood, which is due on October 28.

Band sounds more "European" (in an Asphyx/Celtic Frost/At The Gates kind of way) than ever.

That main riff is so stale, the melodic segment w/ the solo is decent but yeah, average as fook overall.

I like it tbh. Sure the vocals aren't like they used too and their sound has become groovier but it's not that bad imo. The only thing i'd change is the production

Band sounds more "European" (in an Asphyx/Celtic Frost/At The Gates kind of way) than ever.

They've always favoured those bands though. Listen to the The End Complete which is by far one of the best 90s Florida dm albums ever.

That main riff is so stale, the melodic segment w/ the solo is decent but yeah, average as fook overall.

Dude come on! You love new Peth so take that as a cue to sit down in the dm forums ; p. But yeah, this sucks and Obituary haven't be relevant since they've spearheaded their revival.

Vocals are usually the make or break factor for me, the vocals on this are pretty week. Probably won't look into the new album much further

Like everyone else, not a huge fan of the vocals, but overall the song is ok.

I think it's pretty good. Nothing original, but that's to be expected of late-era Obituary. Vocals are Tardy's vocals, unconventional, but I think he pulls them off consistently. The solo's really solid, riffs are fairly dull but they do the job. Doesn't get me excited for the album, but it's better than most everything that isn't 'Insane'.
