this sounds nice though; have they been doing more electronic-based music for a while now? only tracks I've heard from them are "Rough Landing Holly" and "Breathing", which were total jams on the Burnout 3 soundtrack
| |
Weee oh wasn't expecting that
| |
Song was kinda disappointing
| |
lol nobodycares
| |
I'm a nobody and I care
| |
I'm here everyone hold on
| |
That was unusually bland. Hope this isn't an indicator of the overall sound of the album.
| |
I enjoyed it, stoked to hear the rest of it
| |
Loving the intensity at the end. I wasn't overwhelmed by this song - definitely more cookie-cutter than I had hoped - but if the rest of the album brings the riffs and emotion of the last minute of this track, then there's no doubt it will be amazing.
| |
"fucking awful band. ive lost track of how many 1s they've created"
nah
| |
It's not quite as strong as their past lead singles but it's a completely different kind of song so there really isn't much use comparing. That being said, it's decent, it sounds like a Yellowcard song still. Not really much of a disappointment.
| |
Please tell me they're trying something different...I'm still patiently waiting for a lights and sounds follow up
| |
fucking awful band. ive lost track of how many 1s they've created [2]
i think i have a list of their 1s on an old hard drive from a laptop that has since died. i should take a look at that thing come to think of it theres prob lotsa other fucked up shit on there
| |
Shit track

| |

IN B4 SOWING
| |
Oh wait crap he got here first
| |
alright cool track
not one of Mendez's best solos but it brings the rock
| |
Song is alright, I guess.
| |
GUYS! Yellowcard did mention that Lift A Sail will not be typical YC pop-punk but rather a Rock-N-Roll and more diverse rock album with one or two slow, emotional songs. One Bedroom was meant to be one of the slower songs, and honestly I didn't like it at first but if you keep listening to it 3-4 times you'll actually love the melodies and the words of this song! And believe me the rest of this record is brilliant in its own way!
| |
According to Jason Tate, this version is a radio edit of the actual song. It's missing over 40 seconds, or about 1/4 of the song.

So basically Lights and Sounds v2
| |
I love these guys but this is just... ugh. It's like all they got out of Southern Air was that we wanted more of Here I Am Alive. Gets better towards the end so hopefully the non radio-edit version has something sweet going on at the end.
| |
They've done better but this definitely isn't bad.
| |
Great band, good song
| |
I'm reminded of hang you up...I like it
| |
The beginning of this reminds me a little of the beat in 'Magic' by Coldplay.
| |
It was okay. Is it just me or does this have a OneRepublic vibe to it? Even the album artwork is kind of reminiscent of OR's last album. As for the song, kind of more pop than punk to it. Here's to hoping the rest of the album will be significantly better.
| |
wow these guys still exist
| |
The ending saves the entire song.
| |
This was really lame until around the end. Then it was really awesome. So.....I guess I'm indifferent towards this track.
| |
End was only good part
| |
Song is kinda shit until the end, reminds me of Hang You Up, so hopefully it'll be like that and be the lone shitheap among some solid songs
| |
Nothing too special but not bad.
| |
song's okay. end slays.
their lead singles are usually among the weakest tracks on the album so yeah
the clip they released in their fall tour announcement video sounds spectacular so i'm hyped.
| |
I don't like it and that makes me sad
| |
Great song, through and through. Helps that I liked "Hang You Up" and I've only gotten into this band recently, so I'm far from tired of them. Even the more "cookie cutter" stuff.
| |
songs a grower, and it's pretty good. no doubt this will ruin the sputnik streak of yellowcard albums above 3.5+ though.
met them at warped and told them my favorite album was paper walls, Ryan personally told me i would dig this. hope they pull through.
| |
Which Ryan said that?
| |
nononono please dont fucking go this way
| |
key

Like Transmission Home a lot more than One Bedroom. It's different for them but it works. I'm glad they're not going completely for a poppy electronically influenced sound
