Horrendous stream new track

US old school death metal act Horrendous are streaming a brand new track from their
forthcoming second LP Ecdysis, due out October 14th, 2014.

The follow up to 2012's acclaimed debut The Chills, guitarist/vocalist Damian Herring
describes the new album as, "Traditional, classic death metal. Thrashing, ripping, yet
melodic and churning with the weight of a thousand corpses; ready your minds for an aural
assault that will twist your brain in the vat. You’ll be tossed into the pits of depression,
quartered between the subterranean watchtowers of hell and the jaws of Charybdis, and
sacrificed at the altar
".

The new track, entitled 'Nepenthe', is available for stream courtesy of Decibel Magazine.
The new record will be available for preorder at the official Dark Descent Records site
along with the CD/vinyl reissue of Horrendous' first demo, Sweet Blasphemies.

holy fuck the melodies in that song and the bass is awesome

kind of a lovechild of hooded menace and carnage/dismember's early stuff

I'm predicting this album will be top 10 this year, at least top 15.
