Agree with Betray, for sure the best way to start with this band is Thrill Seeker, you can feel the evolution they go under as songwriters. Even though my fav is Messengers, their second one haha.

Just saw ABR live two weeks ago and they were fantastic. I hadn't seen them since 2008, so it was nice to see they had only improved their live performance since then. I honestly think Jake is one of the best vocalists out there. Dude sounds just as good as on the records, or better in the case of Leveler because he was sick during the recording. There are very few vocalists I can say that for, though. Even though there are bands I like better overall, they're not as good live.

yeah but when you book dates to record with a top level producer you can't just reschedule. you kinda have to suck it up, especially when you're on a schedule for a record company to release a record on a set day

ABR is a band that had to grow on me. Back when I was listening to KSE constantly, Jake Luhrs' screams got on my nerves. Finally started figuring it out around Leveler.
