Slipknot tease new material
2014-07-16 by trackbytrackreviews | 86 Comments

Slipknot have released a teaser that could point towards a new LP.

Besides updating their social pages with a brand new, 9-pointed red star logo, the band have updated their official site with a completely black page that regularly flashes
a bloodied woman in what appears to be a psych ward, accompanied by what seems to be a riff and a drum pattern.

Check it out on their official site:
http://negative.slipknot1.com/

If you feel particularly lazy today, here's the whole teaser, in video form:

They were basically the band that got me into heavy music so I'll check it out. It's more than likely their final effort so I hope they go all out on it.

These guys may have lost Joey, but I feel like everybody is really overlooking the songwriting skills of the rest of the band.
People seem to be putting so much emphasis on Corey, they forget about the other members. Mick and Jim have always
worked really well together, so there's really no doubt the riffs will rule. Also, Joey was pretty strongly opposed to the more
experimental songs, so now maybe that he's gone, Clown will finally be able to do some crazy shit. I think the album has a lot
of possibilities.

I also think people around here like Slipknot more than they let on.

So glad they are finally releasing new material. Everyone that is saying that its gonna suck without Joey need to GTFO. There are so many other members that can bring something to the table for the new record and a new drummer would be a welcome addition to change up their sound for the better.

TheSpirit I agree hard with what you said about Mick and Jim btw. The two are underrated as fuck. No doubt they will bring the riffs again.
