Shit its awesome!
It's better than From Parts Unknown, that's for sure

Yup it's better than From Parts Unknown. Also dogs say woof
I feel like Xmas came early
Digging: Elvis Depressedly - mickey's dead

"But we opened our wallets up
And they were full of money!
Now we're too worn out
To sing the Dead Flag Blues"
"When we found out the car on fire was just another product"

Hot Topic Grind
So damn good, not disappointing at all. I just can't wait to jam this in better quality.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS but I'm going to wait for my boxset to come.
Digging: Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Can HighandDriving give me that 6%? I need it to get up to a nice round 100% cos having only 94% is annoying.
Hey Futures let's hope that boxset comes for you otherwise that box will be the shape of punk that never came.
three tracks in and this shit's incredible.
is this palumbo or rickly on vox cos they're killing it whoever they are
This is pretty fucking sick, screamo-powerviolence ftw
Rickly sounds like he's tearing his throat open on the last track.
best new genre
Sweet, wish this would load.
yeah wish it would fucking stream on my phone seriously fuck you pitchfork you fucking pricks
it's good like
Scoot, check the review kiddie.
How you guys enjoying your absolutepunk.net grind?
You have to download the official Pitchforkâ„¢ app from the Appstoreâ„¢ to listen to their streams everywhere you go!
Lol I didn't even see it was Pitchfork who was hosting it.
What a joke. At least this may introduce you kids to real powaviolence/grind bands.
^Oh, like Woe, Is Me, amirite? :winkwink:
but i already listen to real pv/grind ?????????
- Woe, Is Me are 5/5 classic nu metalcore.
- Congrats man you still have shit taste in grind if you like this softcore shit.
So you're saying Discordance Axis, Insect Warfare and Gridlink suck?
oh hnd you are so silly
What is this like 6kbps? Still sounds pretty sweet tho
Digging: Old Witch - Come Mourning Come
can't believe this is being dissed for being too popular lol
is this aoty or aoty?
this year hits and we're only halfway through
Digging: Envy - Abyssal
pitchfork more like bitchfork amirite
It's not popular enough really as it hasn't had that much attention until the past couple of weeks. Heck I missed the first single and yet I ended up being the one to report the last single and the stream cos nobody else noticed it.
it sucks kinda disappointing
Digging: Botany Boyz - Forever Botany
hep you never like anything
unless it's nite buuuuuurrrrddddsss
Really? To me the only slightly disappointing aspect was some of guitar work when comparing to past releases. Honestly i thought it fit well though.
I'm surprised you guys all like this as much or more than nvmtbhysf
i like plenty of stuff btw, it's just no one else reads my AWESOME lists :'(
hep you hate all semi-popular stuff
That's not even remotely true!
lol dude hep rec me something like this but better i would want to hear it
you can listen to the many Japanese emoviolence bands they're ripping off
but u do tend to not like "semi-popular" albums
for the record i don't listen to this band either
but yeah hep seems to go against the "liked" stuff on the site a lot
like dead congregation you bitch
hep is usually right about things but i like this a lot :3
i def gave dead congregation a positive rating, despite the fact that i thought it was a huge step down from their first LP
besides tbqh guys i think my fave music of aLL time is wow's soundtrack from nilla to wotlk
so can i really be trusted???????????
i cant trust you anymore cuz im 30 seconds into the first track serious business which ive heard like 30 times already and its a solid 5/5 so far
a 2.5 wow hep you fuck
i considered giving it a 2 tbqmfttbnnffh
yeah this album so average does nothing above average ever
i dont even know you anymore
its okay kris jam sum la dispute youll get through this sleight eventually big guy
Yeah this is boring as shit compared to their other stuff
this would be so much better if it was a better quality stream fuck off pitchfork seriously pissin me off all goddamn day
God-tier so far
Digging: Opeth - Pale Communion
Stream is piss poor, the last stream i heard from pitchfork sounded way better than this shit.
yeah and fuck pitchfork for no mobile streaming
Digging: Kimbra - The Golden Echo
Seriously did they lose like half the band between this and the last stuff? Everyhing feels like such a step down, especially the guitars.
stream quality sucks too what the fuck man
p4k advance sux, uses a shitload of bandwidth to load the shitty interactive layout, there are no basic functionalities to speak of and the stream quality is garbage.
Digging: Towers - Bel Air Highrise Plantation
and acting like this is even supposed to be grind or pv is just dumb
Not quite up there with the s/t but pretty damn close
Digging: TTNG - This Town Needs Guns
EP was better
"Stream is piss"
For those who don't know (which seems to be a large chunk of this thread), Daryl and Ben haven't been with United Nations in years. Their rhythm section is the rhythm section from Pianos Become the Teeth.
Well that explains the pussification.
I knew that
but yea dudes this shit is awesome!!!1
yay hep changed his mind :3 :3 :3
don't deliberately misunderstand me you twit
i just want to believe
Hm it's a lot less powerful than their debut
anyone criticising this thing is dead inside
last i checked i wasn't a husk but thanks for the update
Digging: Jeff Buckley - Live at Sin-é (Legacy Edition)
It's pretty freaking great, but probably not as good as their previous material. Still worthy of being material released under this name, though, for sure.
Also, Pitchfork's streams blow hard.
a stream without pause button
holy shit this sounds bad even for a web stream. fuck you pitchfork, seriously the worst streaming format ive ever seen.
yeah this is definitely not as good as any of their other stuff but still decent.
yeah you're stupid
Digging: Your Old Droog - Your Old Droog
People are finally complaining about Pitchfork's stupid stream layout? Praise the lord.
Digging: Emerald Weapon - Part II: Earth Encrypted
I don't really hear what the hype is all about on this
that was pretty bad
Digging: OutKast - Aquemini
quality is definitely pretty poor but this rules
rickly's vocals on this sound intense as fuck
it definitely still sounds like hes just whispering and they amplified and distorted it
LOL that's what I thought at first
i forget, is this band any good?
their first lp was
idk about this one though
dude kman is this hipster grind
this isnt grind
i'll have to jam their s/t again bc i have it at 2.5
It's not very hipster either
6th and 7th tier users making themselves evident in this news discussion
whats the lowest tier someguest?
7th now that snide is gone
he was 8th tier
This site would be better if every single user didn't embody absurd hyperbole.
This album is pretty good. I would like to hear a higher quality stream though. I hope that it's not just the mastering. Am I the only one hearing a really obvious Deafheaven influence here?
yes you are
I think it just evidences how much Deafheaven's sound really lines up with skramz; if every band who put scorched screams and melodic guitar lines over fast beats and cymbal crashing is influenced by Deafheaven then you can bet Kerry McCoy is a time traveler.
Am I the only one hearing a really obvious Deafheaven influence here?
You mean that Deafheaven is influenced by skramz?
I don't think they're influenced by skramz as much as they just coincidentally sound like skramz. When you think about what they're doing with black metal, there are obvious correlations in the instrumentation (vocals, guitars, drums), but it's characteristically still black metal.
united nations has always had a little bit of bm influence anyway
nah no bm here
This shit goes hard. Listening to the proper FLAC leak and
it's easily up there with the s/t in every way
Found the torrent leaks. It sounds so much better.
Found the torrent leak. It sounds so much better.
Dang this album is good.
Digging: FKA twigs - LP1
