Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - Dissociation
Jesper must be laughing his ass off right now.
Wow. They sound like they're asleep.
Jesper must be laughing his ass off right now
Digging: Alcest - Kodama
metal rly does suck XD
Digging: Watchtower - Concepts of Math: Book One
better than the last track but only because the guitars do nothing here versus them spewing shit riff after shit riff on the other one
still terrible though
Hey...first 40 seconds of Rusted Nail was sweet.
This also started out good with the subtle hint of Maiden Melo Death they used to do...but yeah, Anders started singing and it got boring.
fuck these guys, can't write riffs for shit anymore and anders sucks so much, it's sad to see a band that once was capable of writing songs like december flower and jester script transfigured resort to such terrible output
even when jesper was still around, STYE was awful and so was ASOP
holy shit that singing is abysmal.
Gonna go jam Jester Race to remember what this band used to be.
Both of these songs sound like the same damn thing.
goddamn, they already got bad after Clayman, but this is just a new low. everything on Sounds is better than either of these shitty songs.
I am going to jam the new Soilwork to remind myself that they actually made a solid comeback
I am not even going to bother listening to this. I'd rather jam Moonshild m/
I dig it
guess I'm the only one
Digging: Vektor - Terminal Redux
vocals have been really bad off all the singles for this but they especially stand out on a quieter song like this
Honestly, it's not bad or at least it's not as bad as the last track. Shame that the screaming is practically gone, but the singing is alright I guess. It's rather lazy though if you ask me.
anders just cannot sing.
"Melodic death-turned-metalcore act In Flames"
Lol, that was better than last time
I'm just going to listen to The Jester Race through Clayman and have a long, hard cry remembering what they once were.
Well, at least I'm going to man up and actually listen to this when it comes out.
The song isn't that great, but I'll admit that his singing vocals have gotten a lot better. Compare this to the vocals on STYE, this is so much better. In fact, I'd say that the vocals are the best part of this track.
Yeah, they aren't really horrible, not even that bad. But it's just so lazy, and it's supposed to be fucking In Flames for crying out loud.
Don't worry guys, I will form an In Flames cover band to play only Pre-Clayman songs. We might end up
making tracks that sound like b-sides to "A Sense of Purpose" in a decade though. If we don't get sued
to bajesus and back first.
If he'd sing with more energy, I actually do like his voice.
i shivered in anger when i heard his voice on this track.
Digging: Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason
Thought it was pretty cool actually. A little bland. But still pretty sick. Better than Rusted Nail. And I just wanna remind ppl that these are singles. There could be classic in flames on the new album, just not the singles.
Awful...I actually like plenty of tracks off the last several albums but these 2 singles are really terrible. I will still end up buying the album because I'm a whore but it will probably be another one of those albums I play once or twice and shelve, never to be played again.
Much better than the last one, but still kinda meh.
This makes me incredibly sad, because I actually like their newer nu-metal/metalcore stuff too.
There could be classic in flames on the new album, just not the singles.
there hasn't been classic in flames since 2000
so yeah no
ya there's zero chance this album has any sort of real melo-death. this is garbage.
A New Dawn off their last record showed a brief glimpse that they can still capture a little of the magic they had over a decade ago.
This might be the most boring in flames song I've ever heard.
Goddamn...and I wanted this album for my birthday...
Digging: Oathbreaker - Rheia
Just because they haven't been classic In Flames since 2000 doesn't mean they can't recapture it. I agree its unlikely - my point was simply that it always pisses me off how judgmental ppl are of new albums by the singles. Ppl end up being so biased against the album when it comes out that they don't actually take it for what it is. Linkin Park's new album is a prime example of a band that can sound entirely differently through the span of an album. Until its gone is nothing like War. Through Oblivion will likely be nothing like other tracks on Siren Charms.
trash flavored trash
the equivalent of shit taking a shit
Soundtrack to Your Escape has been beaten.
Worse than Bottled, and thats saying something.
The flames have been extinguished.
This track makes me want to vomit.
Digging: Alcest - Kodama
What the f....is this
The link is broken... Did it suck so bad they took it down?
Nah, it's just that the band technically didn't upload it so it got knocked down.
they taking papa roach with them on tour. im out
For those who are remotely interested, here a leak for the song "Everything's Gone." (The quality is low but that's due to the site itself) Imo, it's the best song of the three.
Annoying having to change this comment cause other ppl's got deleted
@toondude, ya it sounds like the best of the three for sure. Will prob sound way better with better quality
Yea it sucks
A big ol bucket of shite
Digging: Cult of Luna - Salvation
Filtered Truth leaked yesterday and it is my favorite so far
Here it is man
don't be too harsh for this song, anders is obviously having a bad hangover on this
Digging: Dangers - The Bend In The Break
Couldn't say I was expecting to get blown away. Also that album cover is horrendous
"Jesper must be laughing his ass off right now."
Yeah I don't think so, the band went downhill with him in it
Yeah I like the last one better. Pretty much in the same boat as Through Oblivion
Melodic death-turned-metalcore act In Flames
A band has to progress its sound BRO
@Sour, you should've seen my news post for IF, I just straight up called them metalcore. It was hilarious.
@Omair, If by progress you mean sell their souls to mainstream hell then the answer is possibly
@Toon: Yeah and your favourite album is from after they sold out dude
"When The World Explodes" streaming here. Pure metalcore track with a guest vocalist on the chorus.
Wow. They are chugging now
I see it that way:
If you can ignore what they've done in the past and see their new music as pop, its pretty ok for radio standarts.
it's fucking disgraceful
The songs suck regardless of In Flames' past. They are just more insulting when you factor in their first few albums
Anders is sounding like Matt Heafy, that was almost as bad as Rusted Nail.
Average as expected, but honestly not that bad. Chorus was pretty interesting though, I dig the female vocals.
I know KILL really loves this song but I just can't get into it.
"its pretty ok for radio standarts."
pretty ok for the radio still equals garbage in the grand scheme of things.
everything this band does equates to nothing more than shitting on their legacy
Everything's gone isn't bad though
Lol, oh my fucking god! Get a load of this...
Title should be self explanatory
I like how he points out that their worst album always gets bumped up one album, totally denying the fact that each album generally gets shittier
Also lol at him saying people just need to open their minds to understand how great their new music is
^haha, he didn't say that. He says that in his opinion they are great albums, which makes perfect sense because he made the albums. He wanted to progress their sound in the way they did - he didn't want to do whoracle or jester race again. Makes total sense to me. It is your opinion that the albums got shittier - not his - and not mine. Though Colony is my favorite.
To think his statements in that article is funny IS close-minded. You don't have to like it - but you have to respect what he's saying. Even if its not what you want from him.
who gives a fuck
their music is shit now
he is ignorant as hell
stop wanking over these guys as if they are god's given gift to the universe
