New Opeth Album Cover
2014-05-27 by Onirium | 172 Comments
Even though the release of Opeth's 11th studio album, Pale Communion, has been delayed to August, the band has officially revealed the album artwork. It was once again done by graphic artist Travis Smith, who has designed the band's album covers since 1999's Still Life.
You can see the Pale Communion artwork here:

The picture on the far right should be he album cover.
Not sure how I feel about this though. Like I said in another thread: The music and album covers usually go together so well.
BWP and it's cover fit perfectly. The warm feel of heritage fits it's cover too.
Idk about this.

Not the best cover they've had, but you can always tell the butthurt Opeth fans out there by their desperate reaching to criticize them in any way they possibly can....the covers are evolving in a similar fashion to the music--more eclectic. Fans who still complain about Heritage being "boring" or the like are just metalheads unwilling to break down the walls of genre.

"Fans who still complain about Heritage being "boring" or the like are just metalheads unwilling to break down the walls of genre. "

wrong. some of them (like me) just know the band since the early nineties and had very high expectations for each new opeth album and those expectations were met every time despite the evolution of their sound from album to album. then came heritage.

All three of Wilson's solo albums have been better than Opeth's last two, imo.

Fuck no.

Sorry, Wiz! Band dropped off hard after Ghost Reveries.

I agree with this however Wilson has never put out anything worth a minute of your time outside of Porcupine Tree.

He's hardly put out a minute of music worth your time inside Porcupine Tree with the exception of like 2 albums and 1 EP.

"artwork looks like it came off the wall of Jolly Roger's Lagoon"

Haha, had to quote this.

On Wilson, his last 2 albums were great...with Grace being incredible and one of my favorites of the past few years

Raven is great. Porcupine tree is one of the most overrated bands around here.
Fear of a Blank Planet and a few songs here and there are the exceptions.
He is a great producer though.
