You Blew It! Covers Weezer

2014-05-13 by Eric Greenman | 11 Comments
Emo revivalist band You Blew It! announced recently that in light of the 20th anniversary of Weezer's critically acclaimed Blue Album
that they would release a 5 song EP covering the band's favorite Weezer tracks.

"The Blue Album means a lot to us. Aside from them being one of the few bands we can unanimously agree on, they're one of the most
defining bands of our generation. I'm not sure that we would be a band without Weezer, so this was just the best way we could come up
with to pay tribute to them. Plus holy shit it was fun. Oh and "You Blue It" was too good of a pun to pass up so whatever"

The album is cleverly titled "You Blue it", and is set to be released digitally on July 15 and physically on August 12, 2014. Topshelf
Records stated on their website to expect any pre-orders mid-June.

They are totally part of the who emo revivalist movement of the past some years, or at least revivalist of the sound emo bands put out in the late 90s and early 00s.

Regardless, this should be fun

I don't know, I just feel like the whole "emo revival" thing is kinda dumb but I definitely agree man. I'm excited to listen to this.
