That was boss as fuck. Caleb keeps getting better and the instruments are high octane.
Digging: Olafur Arnalds - ...And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness
More of the same, but still pretty great. I have hope for this band
Yeah I agree. This is pretty sick (no pun intended). I was a huge fan of the 'Sick' EP. These guys have serious potential.
So glad Caleb left Attack Attack! and started Beartooth. Seriously, he feels so much more at home here.
Yeah I agree. I never liked Attack Attack!, frankly I kind of despised them, but I love what Caleb's doing with Beartooth. Plus I feel like he's free to be himself here and do what he wants, so that's great.
Yeah, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Sick EP and this is really cool, too. Caleb's vocals have improved immensely. Really hoping they keep this up.
Caleb was pretty much the only reason Attack Attack! had anything to offer to begin with (Austin left after Someday Came Suddenly and the other clean vocalist left after the self titled so they don't count)
Way better than aa
didnt really enjoy anything off this ep except I Have A Problem
Digging: Iskra - Ruins
Guitars are absolute shit
Digging: Gunship - Gunship
I liked it also.
Not particularly bad but this song is hardly memorable, didn't mind their ep though
Digging: Tame Impala - Currents
I was hoping for a good laugh at how bad the song was, but that was pretty decent.
I know eh? One hears "Caleb Shomo" and assumes the worst haha. But fear not, this is NOT Attack Attack!...
I mean his name's Caleb Shomo ffs
fronted by Caleb Shomo
(ex-Attack Attack vocalist)
man, there is nothing remotely appealing here.
Good stuff. Looking forward to the album
Digging: GUNSHIP - GUNSHIP
I saw them live. They have a good stage presence but I didn't really enjoy it too much. So much chugging.
I don't fucking understand
out of all modern metalcore bands - people actually like this one
this band. such shit.
Because this band clearly puts a lot of passion in their music. I like how in your face they are too.
A lot of people love MMF, but they're shit too.
They're not even metalcore, they're hardcore.
man, there is nothing remotely appealing here.
i thought the same but this is actually not awful
Kenbo, is this band better than MMF?
lyrics are pretty bad tho
actually listening to it again and focusing on lyrics is making me hate this
"They're not even metalcore, they're hardcore."
lol this band is hardcore for kids who don't know what hardcore is
this is what the kids are listening to.
sucks doesnt it nik haha
like fuck i decided to give this another go so i paused DEP for this sheit fuck
above average by metalcore standards
Definitely got more of a hardcore vibe to it. Much better than AA! but still watered down and the production sounds awful. The lyrics are mediocre and the riffs they play kind of sound like they've already give up before attempting something moderately innovative. Not much of a reason to listen to this considering there are countless other great hardcore bands.
Awesome. Love his voice as always, too, he's become such a solid vocalist.
Guitar tone isn't as to my liking as the monstrous one on the Sick EP, but, that's okay, I can deal.
Am I the only one who likes the guitar tone on this song? I feel it's better produced than their EP
You aren't hardcore unless you live hardcore
I love the production that Shomo goes with. He did the same the Ep and the last Attack Attack album.
Yeah Betray, they're way better than MMF.
I'm just gonna thrust my way into this debate hahaha. MMF was probably one of the more consistently great bands in the metalcore genre (Sleepwalking was pretty fuckin amazing and The Hollow lived up to that). But I really think they shit the bed with Unconditional. As it stands now, I thoroughly agree with Kenbo. I have far more faith in Beartooth than MMF. Cause let's be honest, Unconditional was pretty butt.
what the fuck is mmf aside from the lame kind of 3some and do you even listen to botch?
Challenger was poop and Unconditional was poopier
Challenger was the culmination their sound but rather than try and make something different they decided to beat the hell out of that dead horse. Challenger had some great parts and certain songs were quite good (in the context of the genre) but Unconditional is lame. And I cannot stand Matty Mullins, I think he is a crappy singer and and a crappy pretentious person. His lyrics are lame.
Him and Kellin are 2 scene vocalists I just do not like.
I look forward to Beartooth as I not only love the way Shomo produces albums but the way he writes music. He seems like a legit nice guy too.
The thing is Beartooth seems super passionate about what they're doing, whereas MMF just keeps riding the bandwagon because it's what's popular right now.
I am sure MMF are passionate too, just not terribly good.
Agreed, Unconditional is their worst.
"I think he is a crappy singer and and a crappy pretentious person."
Interesting, I've never seen someone actually criticize his singing voice, more often they say they don't like his screams.
IMO, Matty's a great singer and having met him multiple times over the past few years, I'd say he's far from pretentious. But that's just what I think.
OT: This isn't AS bad as I thought it was at first
Seems like a song you can just go nuts to and have fun live
Regardless of which band you think is better, Beartooth objectively puts WAY more energy into their music.
"what the fuck is mmf aside from the lame kind of 3some and do you even listen to botch"
I never really preferred Caleb, especially with Attack Attack! (the worst example of the genre) but he's really shown his talent with this band. I understand why is so highly regarded as a singer.
Digging: Titus Andronicus - The Most Lamentable Tragedy
Yeah I still dig this hard, gonna enjoy their full length album.
Now i want to see them live
dis is pretty boring.
Digging: Northlane - Node
good metalcore song
I used to know the guys from Amity and from what they told me he was a total wanker. But you have met him so you probably
know better (srs).
His singing voice just doesn't do it for me, when I was younger I loved that shit but not so much these days.
Still don't like his vocals, still think the music is generally shit, but I'd take another listen once or twice if I needed something dumb to get me excited for Warped tour or something...I guess.
Good song. Reminds me of Comeback Kid mixed with The Chariot but with all of their recycled ideas. None the less, this is super fun and impactful.
